Any Good Gaming Stores in Orlando, Fla.?

To the Florida members of this forum:
Are there any good gaming stores in the Orlando area? I've been told that I will visit the "Mouse House" sometime this summer, and I want to bring back something besides a pair of d____d ears.

I lived in the Clearwater area 30+ years ago, and most of the old shops there are long gone. I'm not sure of Tallahassee, either. I went to FSU before Bobby Bowden did. (I know, that was a LOOOOONNNNNGGGGG time ago!!!)

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Before Bobby Bowden? Shoot, I didn't even know Florida was a state back then...

I see that you're in Cincy. Before FSU, I grew up watching Woody Hayes at Ohio State. I'm a transplanted Yankee from northeast Ohio. Someone had to civilize the place.

shortround,
Nothing in the micro-armor scale in Tallahassee. There is one store that carries GW and a small amount of other miniatures, but nothing historical.
Sorry for you and me.

I forgot, Historicon and Recon have moved to Orlando. These are excellent conventions.

RECON 2007 is will be held in Orlando, Florida
The headline does not produce a good public image.
Small issue, but rather glaring.

My mistake - it's Hurricon in Orlando, not Historicon. Apologize.

Thanks for all the input, guys. The trip is currently planned between the two. Recon is this weekend, and Hurricon is later in the year. (Sometimes I think the wife really doesn't like my hobby.

) Anyway, thanks again.

You might want to reconsider coming to the Mouse House in the summer because of the heat, humidity, and crowds. Summer really is an awful time to visit here, believe me. Be prepared for 95 degrees in the shade and 90% humidity surrounded by sweat-soaked tourists who seem to have never been told about the proper use of deodorants.
The best time to visit here is April thru early May or late September thru October. The hordes of tourists are gone (if it's tourist season, why can't we shoot them?) and the weather is very pleasant. The best times to visit nicely coincide with Recon in May and Hurricon in September.

Ooh Rah:
Thanks for the input. I have been there at varioius times of the year over the last 30+ years. I lived in Clearwater when they built the thing, and still have family along the west coast. I'm trying to talk the wife out of the trip anyway. BTW, it's hotter here in Louisiana, than in Fla. As far as tourist season goes, good luck and good hunting.

I used to say the same when I lived there.
