Never liked winter terrain myself. I would think non winter would get more usage.

I have actually done 3 sets of terrain with GHQ Terrain Maker. I have done a winter set, a summer set, and one for the desert. Of course most of my vehicles and troops are painted up for summer but I plan to get some more stuff painted for both winter and desert and add more pieces to my already existing terrain sets as well. If I had to choose just one of these I would go with the summer set and could do both east and west front scenarios except those that are exclusively winter. Since I couldn't settle on one set of terrain, I decided to do all three. Just my 2 cents here.

I've based most of mine around warmer weather. But, since there is an ever growing pile of 'spare' vehicles, I'm making some of them suitable for snow terrain.
Does it work? There are some winterised vehicle pics in the whitewash thread (might be page back).
Do both.

This thread raises a question for me - I would like to base a campaign around the story line in Harold Coyle's The Ten Thousand - a conflict in Central Europe between the U.S. and a rogue far-right (Nazi) Germany. It is set in the depths of winter as U.S. forces returning from a mission to seize Ukranian nuclear warheads have to battle their way across Central Germany on a march to the North Sea - anyway - my question is this - do the modern U.S. and German armies apply "winter" camouflage to their vehicles - ie a coat of whitewash ala WWII?
