Painting help needed...

I'm painting up a Steve Jackson OGRE for an alien invasion game in which the behemoth will run rampant over a unit of GHQ Shermans etc. As it si intended to be an uncrewed vehicle, it has very little external detail - no stowage, hatches, equipment, etc.
I've finished the base camo scheme but am wondering how to make the monster "pop" - I'll weather the tracks with dirt and have given the thing a wash with Vallejo Smoke but am looking for more suggestions/tips...

Mark,
I was going to tell you that I bought one years ago but never got around to building / painting it... but that as I recalled, there wasn't a whole lot of detail to be brought out.
Then I thought -- hmmmm, why don't I "look around" first? So I did a quick Yahoo! search using the search parameters
ogre steve jackson games
and several pretty good pictures popped up. Maybe some of them might be what you're looking for! (I know I was rather impressed by one on this site:

Another option (if you're not to far in the camo pattern) is to simply paint the casting in various mettallic colors. Modern ships and aircraft have many different materials as part of ther skin. Use different colors for sensor panels, main and secondary armor, whatever.
Another thought just popped in my head- do it in a dazzle paint job. It's too big to hide, so just make it harder for the enemy to get a bead on it.
In any case, it's your game, paint it any way you want!

Here's how it looks so far...
I'm using an AFV style with a WW1 naval inspired color scheme. But I don't know what to do next.

And oh yes, I just ordered three of the US Combat Commands for this thing to run over...I'm doing one OGRE as an alien invasion pod, and will do another as the ultimate Nazi secret weapon! Will probably replace the rear missile silos with tank turrets...

Put some battle damage and soot on it. That'll help make it look a little more realistic.
Plus, drill out the barrel if possible.

Pitfall,
Mmmm.... do Ogres actually
get battle damage?? I thought they mainly dished it out...
Or am I thinking of Bolos??
Either way... pretty good stuff!!
