Hope this does not violate a posting rule. If it does please remove.
Just wondering if anyone uses the QHQ 6mm minis for FOW? If so do the rules need to be tweaked for difference in scale?

D'oh! Never thought to run a search. Thanks.
The info there pretty much confirms some of the questions I had from the couple of times I have played it. Bought the book to have the rules for when I make it up to Ottawa, a friend of mine is really into it. I sort of view the FOW rules like the movie Troy, not the best, but if it gets you interested in the subject it is all good.
When the time comes (ie afer I finish my WMA arimes) I'll start collecting QHQ for Clash of Armour. Seems most reasonable way to go, giving that the rules are based for the GHQ minis. And, seem to be a blend of detail, and easy rules.
love 6mm!

My gaming club does!
Most of us have 2 or 3 different armies.
The inexpensiveness of GHQ micros make this very cost effective.
We run BIG battles now!

So, the GHQ minis work without having to change the rules/ scales in the game?

I would think just halving hte ranges would be enough or close enough to perfect for play FOW with GHQ mini's.
My two cents!

Just use the standard FOW ranges with GHQ minis and things will look fine.
When played with 15mm figures and official FOW bases, FOW looks like an ancients/medieval game. A friend who runs US Armored Infantry on occassion has complained that if he dismounts his troops there's barely enough room for the huge stands. A Russian 15mm FOW army appears more like a WHFB Orc horde!
FOW doesn't have a fixed ground scale and instead uses a telescoping scale which is very clever. But if you think of effective rifle range as being about 500 yards (which would be 16" in FOW) then things make sense with microarmor figures. A typical FOW rifle platoon will have about 7 stands or so (1 command and 6 team stands). In WWII platoon frontage was about 200-500 yards. So, at ~2" intervals those 7 microarmor stands will look about right (assuming 1" frontage per stand and about 4 figures per stand).
IN fact FOW will look a LOT better in microarmor than 15mm since assets such as arty are deployed on table.
