I did do a search before asking this question.
What color do others use for their modern soviet afv?

I use Testor's Model Master Enamel "Medium Green" for my base coat. I use spray cans, and have the same in bottles for touch-ups as needed.
Most of my Soviet/Russian units are just base-coated with the green. (Actually, far too many are done in other shades, as they were painted before I settled on the MM Medium Green).
For some units I camo using Polly-S Acrylic "Soviet Sand", which is a very pale yellow with a bit of tan. Then I add crow's feet with flat black.

My primary color is testors spray dark green. Most of my stuff is dark green. I have sprayed and pick some painted medium green. This is about 90-95% of my Russian (+others) force color with 9-5% or medium green, and then mixed color schemes for remaining figs.
On my indipendent tank battlion, of 51 T-80 from GHQ without reactive armor, sprayed most Dark Green, added dark tan and black. Some sprayed dark tan and added dark green & black, and on about 10-12 spray black and added dark green & dark tan. I did not paint the wheels over. So hull & turrets are in the three color scheme.

I've used the model master Medium Green in the spray cans and Russiam Armor Green arylic in the bottles. After finished washing and dry brushing it came out essentially the same shade.

Thanks for the replies.
I was at the local hobby/gaming/magic/boardgames etc store and was looking at some of their 1/35 scale models when I noticed a Tamiya T-55 model. On the side, it showed 3 different colors...TS2 (an olive drab color??), Olive Green and Field Grey. Well, I picked up the Field Grey (Tamiya paint XF-65) and tried it. WOW. I also did the Olive Green and found it to be too dark for my liking. But here is a pick of a T-64 in XF-65 Field Grey.
Sorry if the pic isn't clear enough, but that is the best that I could do at the time.
