Apologies for multiple posts

Hi guys,
A post I made on Sunday about the Micro Force ACW rules has now appeared multiple times. Sorry about this. I kept getting an error message so I kept re-sending it. While I think it would be nice to see more posts about the Civil War on these boards it wasn't my intention to say the same thing over and over and over again.
Regards
Stephen

You are not the first to be nipped by our local pest, the SQerL.
(SQL error Log).
We have had this problem crop up from time to time in the forum. Users posting the same information multiple times is a common symptom.
If you look in a couple of the other threads, you will see the issue raised over the weekend, and GHQ managing the issue over the first couple days of the week. As in the past, once the issue is brought to GHQ's attention, their IT provider is able to track down the latest SQerL and chase it away.
If you get an SQL error code in the future, please don't go back and re-post. If you can, go back, clip your message and paste it into a temporary file (in case it didn't go through), and then give it a little while before you try re-posting.
If you do accidentally place multiple posts in a thread, just drop a note in that thread about which postings you'd like to have deleted, and your friendly neighborhood moderator is likely to stroll by and provide a demonstration of his demi-God powers for your gratification.

Thanks Mark,
There are a few repeated posts in the thread: GHQ's ACW Rules. There are also about five posts titled Micro Force ACW rules which are completely redundant because I already posted the comment elsewhere.

SJDonovan:
I have removed the duplicate postings from the ACW Rules thread. I have also removed the duplicate threads titled: Micro Force ACW -- but only the duplicates, not the original thread on that subject. I was not sure from your request if you wanted them all deleted, or just the duplicates. Better to ere on the safe side. I can always delete it later, but can't restore it once it's gone. So ... do you want the last (original?) thread to remain up, or come down?
Volt:
Took our your duplicates in the Warsaw Pact thread.
Also - DAK:
I removed a duplicate thread which you had posted. Once again, I left the original in place. I only deleted a duplicate thread which had no replies, so no information was lost.

Hello Mark,
The Micro Force ACW original post can be deleted since I submitted exactly the same post to the GHQ's ACW rules thread. However, since it consists of nothing but praise for your really rather excellent ACW rules you may want to leave it up . . .
All the best

I'll go ahead and delete it, as we have so many rich and wonderful threads to read, and it will just drift into the back pages anyways.
However, since it consists of nothing but praise for your really rather excellent ACW rules you may want to leave it up . . .
He he he Not my rules.
This board is self-policed. The Mods are volunteers from among your forum-mates, who have been granted super-powers to help protect and defend all that is good and right in our little corner of the web (mostly by chasing away spammers). Think of us as your friendly digital janitors.
Oh, but there IS a forum member who might claim title to the rules, as he wrote them. But I'll let him decide to volunteer his identity and sign his own autographs.

Hey MK1 I just noticed I also have several postings about my "Tour at GHQ" topic. At the time I could not get it to post so feel free to delete mine as well. Thanks.
