A question like that probably needs a lot more information within the question for anyone to give an answer. What type of terrain are you representing? What materials are you using to make the rest of the terrain? etc. In addition, to some extent paint brands are available on a regional basis. If you are using any foam/styrofoam based materials to make your terrain, you will want to stay away from any oil based paints. Try going into a local hardware store, Home Depot, Lowe's, etc., and look at the paints that they have available. Chances are when you see what they have available, you will immediately know if there is anything that will work for you. In general we recommend staying away from spray paints for terrain. When you use a latex paint you have a virtually unlimited number of colors to chose from because any store can mix it to your desired color. With spray paint you are limited to what they have on the shelf. Also, with latex paint you can get really flat finishes that better represent land. Last but not least, one quart of latex paint mixed to your desired color will go a really long way, and allow you to make a lot of terrain from one can. To get an idea of what colors to use, look around at the "Show us your stuff" topic on this forum, look into some of the other topics, do an internet search for photos of the area that you are representing, look at books, etc. There is an endless amount of free, easy to find information- you just have to put a little effort into it.
