I've got some of Paper Terrain's packs but when i compare one of the buildings w/microarmor they look way small.
Put one of them against say Timecast and there is a REAL big difference.
I was told the 10/12mm size is to big w/GHQ but has anybody used these bigger building kits with their microarmor games and are they compatible together?
The varience in size from the different vendors for the same scale really blows my mind.

These are far too big for Micros. I have 10mm ACW and Napoleonics and I use Timecast buildings for both. They are big, even for these. I reccommend you go with the 6mm line.

Micro armor in 1/285th scale is very close to 1mm per foot. GHQ infantry is closer to 1/220 scale, which is closer to "Z" gauge model railroad equipment and can be used easily with any "Z" scale accessories, ...but the equipment (tanks/trucks/jeeps) will look a little small though it works just fine for games.
10mm - 12mm scale is just about two times the size of micro-armor. A 10mm scale figure stands that tall while a GHQ figure stands about 6mm tall so buildings will be way too big if you try to use them together.
In the image above the cars and trucks are "Z" scale. The military vehicles are 1/285th scale (5-6mm) and the buildings are 1/300 - 1/285th scale. You can see how they work together. Imagine the buildings are twice as big and you can see that won't work too well, ...as you've experienced.

Thanks guys, this saves me from finding out the hard way.
As for the different variance in sizes I guess the only soloution is to group the buildings by manufacturer.
