Hi from Luxembourg,
just one question for the moment about the abreviations used in the Ships logs.
In the Secondary Armament Boxes, there are abreviations like the following:
A1 A2
Y2
F1 F2
C3
CF3
CA3
PF2
PA2
SF2
SA2
What do these mean?
Thanks for your answer

I believe they are interpreted as follows, and this is for purposes of defining how they are used for this game only, as in real life, each navy had a different convention for identifying turrets:
A1 = "A" turret of the primary battery, the "1" would be the number of guns in this turret
A2 = "A" turret of the primary battery, a two gun turret
A, B, and C turrets are typically the foreward mounted turrets of the primary battery (if they exist)
A1 and A2 could also refer to the aft mount of a secondary weapon system that is divided between fore (F), aft (A) and possibly even center (C).
X, Y, and Z turrets are typically the after mounted turrets of the primary battery (if they exist)
So Y2 would be a twin turret of the primary battery in the after part of the ship.
F1 and F2 = a fore mounted secondary weapon system that has 1 or 2 tubes.
C3 = "C" turret usually forward mounted of a primary battery (HMS Nelson would have a foreward mounted triple mount C turret.
CF3 and CA3 = a triple tube secondary weapon mount that is either center foreward or center aft for those cases where there are multiple mounts in the central region of the ship.
PF, PA, SF, SA = Port Foreward, Port Aft, Starboard Foreward, Starboard Aft, and the number is the number of tubes in each mount.
Hope that helps, and good luck building a giant navy in Luxembourg!

Okay, now that I know about the abreviations, what are the firing arcs for example for Port Forward or Port Aft.
I think you cannot add the forward arc and the port arc for these weapons.

AdmiralBobby,
Consult page 21 of the rules. It illustrates the Forward, Stern, etc firing arcs. For port forward weapons, use only the port side of the forward arc. That would be from the amidships position forward. This would be simular for all weapons mount on the quarters of the ship.
Does that answer your question more fully?
Thanks for your interest.
