I've been playing with little toy tanks (as my mother still refers to the hobby) since I bought my first GHQ T-34s and KVs in the early/mid 1970s. I've got scads and scads of WW2 -- Soviets, US (MTO and ETO), French, Italians, a few Brits, and a small pile of Romanians that are still waiting to get painted up. I have cold-war and modern US and Soviets in large quantities, as well as a few modern French and Chinese. My larger armies are several hundreds of pieces each at least -- never did actually count my Soviets.

Yet after some three decades of painting and gaming, I have never derived as much enjoyment from the hobby as I have since joining this forum. My painting and modelling skills have greatly improved, I've met several folks here that I have gamed with, some several times, and I now have the fun of showing off my work, and re-telling (and so re-living) my wargames for my own enjoyment as well as the occasional entertainment of other interested hobbyists.

It's a great place to hang out.

So go paint up some USMC, take 'em out to battle, take a few pics, and show-and-tell all about it. We be jes' achin' to know!
