I have a modern carrier and it came with many many planes. How many do the WWII carriers generally come with?

The number of aircraft supplied with aircraft carrier models depends on the specific model. In most cases, the types of aircraft match well to those carried by the original ship, but are fewer in number. For example, you are not going to get enough aircraft to fill the flight deck as US carriers did for maximum capacity.

The following numbers apply to the examples I have:

FRN10: French CV Bearn - 10 x Dewoitine D.520 fighters, 8 x Breguet Br.690 attack (Note: These are land-based aircraft. Bearn was acting as an aircraft transport rather than an active carrier.)

GEN213: German CV Graf Zeppelin - 9 x Junkers Ju-87 Stuka

RMN18: Italian CV Aquila - 10 x Regianne Re2000

USN80: CV-4 Ranger - 12 x F4F Wildcat (6 folded wing, 6 open wing)

The on-line catalog provides the following information:
IJN25: Japanese CV Junyo - "Zekes, Vals, and Kates, both deployed & stowed" - no information on numbers.
USN62: CVE-73 Gambier Bay - "4 Wildcats deployed & 4 Wildcats stowed"
No information on aircraft for other carrier types.

Varies quite a bit:

Typical US Navy fleet CVs could have over 80 aircraft, while some smaller types were only able to handle 30 or so.

Japanese CVs also carried alot of aircraft ranging from around 90 on the Akagi on down to 20-30 on smaller types.

In general, European carriers (British, nobody else had many) had smaller air wings than those used in the Pacific battles. This was mainly due to a higher priority on protection since these ships were often within range of land-based air power.

Thanks for the answers so far. I think I need to amend the question though. How many planes come with GHQ's WWII carriers? Specifically Japanese.
