I have been wondering how well people like the Micronaughts rules? I want to buy it, but it seems like there is a good deal of errata and some material isnt in the rules book yet (British ship info etc?)
Is GHQ going to release a "corrected" version of the rules? I dont want to carry around a bunch of loose papers to go with the rule books if i dont need to. Does it play well?
Thanks, Tim

I've only played it a few times but most of those were at a convention with people who had never played it before. I was the "expert" having only played it once. First two battles were gunnery only engagements limited to cruisers and battleships. Game played fast and furious and everyone had a great time.
Third game was going to be carrier vs. carrier on two separate tables, this was a disaster. I had no experience running this kind of game and the air rules inspired some pretty nasty reactions from the players. Having the air counters represent six aircraft is not popular. Since attack aircraft and all fighters except the Luftwaffe had flights of three aircraft, and then most air forces switched their fighters to the finger four formation after the Germans, the air rules should be based around this. Also, I couldn't find anything governing air operations from carriers. So I've tried to fill in the blanks and made some modifications to make it work the way I like it, which of course will not be the way others will like it. A major problem any war game designer faces. You just can't please the masses, and I'm one of the masses.
Haven't tried submarines yet, but have come up with a very simple torpedo rule that may or may not work - haven't enough experience with it yet.
To sum up, I have it and have enjoyed playing it, and I would play it again, even with its quirks, or should I call that "flavor."

Thanks for the info. Seems like so far, most people like it overall, it just has its "quirks". I will give it a shot, Ive been using SK IV for years and just want something a bit easier. Thanks, Tim
