U.S. Military forces Vietnam Diorama

Post by baineblade »

Right, being a huge diorama lover (I have a huge one in the works with German forces in 1/35 scale and it's almost all here aside from the basing materials.) and right now I'm going after 1/285th scale Vietnam era. I've got a supplier for paints and basing so that's not a problem, but I'm pretty sure what I have just ordered isn't all that complete for what I have in mind. A combined Armored and Air Cav. firebase. (And I'm pretty sure this isn't historically accurate since they are each different cavalry elements in the army but still, It's what I have setting up in my mind soo...yeah...^^;; ). Here's what I have being sent to me right now:

1 Vietnam War US Air Cavalry Team VN150
1 M35 Gun Truck #1 VN16
1 M48A3 Patton N516
3 'Nam Era US Individual Infantry VN17
1 'Nam Era US Heavy Weapons VN18
3 M113A1 - Armoured Cavalry Version N25
1 UH 1B Huey Gunship AC58
1 Vietnam Era US Aircraft Markings D30
4 Sandbag Walls TMB51
2 Sandbag Ammo Bunker TMB52
3 Barracks TMB69
1 Watch Tower w/ Sandbag Roof TMB62
1 Guard Huts w/ Metal Roofs TMB47

So yeah, any further suggestions for what I else I'll need, including PAVN and VC forces, would be extremely great help! I will also be using Citadel Paints from Gamesworkshop (Don't ask me why, I've always had more luck with those paints.)
HOLY HELL! NED IT'S COMING RIGHT FOR US!!!

Another question I forgot to ask, Landing pads and Landing Strips. What size do I approximately need for 1/285th scale?
