I first got into GHQ products and wargames when I was stationed in Alaska in the 70's. It was not really for the games but the dioramas that I built and the occasional game we could round up.

Later while stationed in Gemany I used the models and terrain to "sandtable" tactical problems, and the 3d aspect helped the junior troops understand the problem far better than a paper rendition. While there I also ran into a group of elderly German men who were ex soldier's and they enjoyed recreating thier battles past, and showing us how they did what they did. Veterans are no differant no matter what army.

Now I am going to get back into the models and gaming. There are many "fantasy" minature groups in the area, but no-one doing a WWII or Modern gaming enviornment.
I am hopin to get a good group and have some great times.
