Sven (or any body else actually),
I have read the supplement and really enjoy it and once I get some of the new toys painted will start having fun, but before then I have 3 questions (so far):
1) on page 21 are the Maus numbers reversed?
2) on page 34, there is a reference to a Grenadier Regiment but no specifics should I use the motorized regiment substituting SdKfz 353/1's for the trucks or use the Grenadier Regiment from the Waffen SS on pg34?
3) Do TL2 troops get a TL2 HQ/GHQ?
Thanks,
Mark

Working from my proofreading copy (I may have to double check this with the online copy)
1) [pg 21] No, the Maus (128mm) numbers appear correct with 12 for AP (Armour piercing) & 7 for HE. I'm not sure of John's source for those numbers but he's been pretty spot on for anything I can determine. He has a much better library on that topic than I do (can't match my Norse library, though, LOL). That seems to go along with the surmise that the Maus was a tank killer.
2) [pg34] I believe the Grenadier Regiments are either made up of Panzer Grenadier Battalions or Grenadier Battalions. The sole difference being whether the German Army could spare armored transport or had to make do with softskin vehicles.
3) [general] TL2 HQ/GHQ this is a period of transition so the answer is not clear cut. Though TL2 infantry are armed differently than TL1 infantry, the HQ's advantage applies mainly to the communications gear available and an evolved tactical doctrine (i.e. a greater level of independence & flexibility made possible by more sophisticated small unit training that stressed greater individual initiative. Better communication equipment supports this flexibility). However real-life intervenes. In 'Nam sometimes the most elite units (SEAL's etc) who were trained for small unit tactics & individual initiative were put under the command of some twit, whose plan basically hadn't evolved from the War of Spanish Succession (early 18th century) and wanted these elite troops to line up shoulder to shoulder & march across the field with fixed bayonets, pikes, & red jackets. So you can use TL2 HQ's if you feel your scenario calls for it, but more likely the High Command hasn't evolved their thinking to deal with the new tactics. From my experience, most Generals/Admirals are a "Box of rocks" that are members of a "B*****b" club (read well-connected politically but not tactically minded or intelligent). I confess to a certain amount (well a rather large amount) of prejudice in the matter
Thank you for your questions, I appreciate the page number citations & the clarity of your questions.

Sven
