New Release Big Disappointments

Post by 30YRSGHQ »

GHQ was 1 minute off in the new release announcements! I am kidding about the disappointment, just wanted to grab your attention. Though I really wanted some ACW Iron Brigade infantry, it is a great list. Over my 32 years of collecting I have acquired 25,000+ pieces of armor (over 80% GHQ), 6,000 1/2400 ships (75% GHQ) along with 2,000 1/285th scale aircraft. WIth a couple of re-locations I have thinned these to nothing (thank you ebay) but am starting to collect and game with 10mm figures. I have a passion for modern naval as well - but have switched to 1/1250th scale to supply my requirements as there is just not enough support to produce GHQ quality 1/2400 modern ships. The list has someting for everyone and I am intrigued by the '47 stuff as well - especially with the addition of allied equipment. The Matilda I, B-25, some nice modern armor, some great ships and the continued filling in of the 10mm lines. Awesome! It is amazing that GHQ can continue to add models at the rate that they do and they actually produce what they say they are going to produce. Thanks GHQ

BTW - Let's get the Iron Brigade infantry on the early part of the 2010-2011 schedule!

I am really pleased at the appearance of the Matilda I -- I have some from another manufacturer, but they're kind of blobby.

I don't know why I like that tank so much. It's ugly, slow, poorly armed, and ugly* but there's just something about it.

* (I know I said ugly twice. It's because it's double-ugly.)

I would like to have seen a Su-27 or Su-30 come out this year......
