Midnight Eagle is a Japanese film where the Americans (go figure) lose a nuclear bomber (go figure) which is carrying a new doomsday weapon (go figure) in northern Japan. Japanese special forces then go after it etc. etc. etc.
As I mentioned in another thread I just found a 1/288 scale "B-5" which looks like a B-2 - well the B-5 is the new bomber from this movie. Looking at pictures the main difference between a real B-2 and the B-5 are the engine intakes and exhaust and some of the angles of the wings. The B-5 has F-117 stylye inlets and exhausts. Still at $4 its a passable B-2 which could serve in a Midnight Eagle kind of scenario I guess - the bomber is down and must be secured before the bad guys get it (and our secrets) send in the Apache brigade! I can post picture if anyone is interested.

Sounds like a cool idea, and not bad of a price from what I can find. I've also periodically seen 1:300 scale B-52s on ebay from time to time.
Its a sniper rifle, not a "sniper"! You don't call an assault rifle an "assault"!

Okay, we'll start of with the reference picture. This one comes from Wikipedia and presents a great plan view giving plenty of detail about engine inlets exhaust and the acute angles of the wings and flaps. Notice the engine inlets are basically curved with angled facets in the rim. The exhausts are inline with the engines and are separate, i.e. each engine nacelle has its own exhaust.

Now the B-5. Notice the engine inlets are straight much like the F-117 and the exhaust appears to form much of the tail end of the airplane. The engine nacelles themselves are more angular than in the B-2, placed further back and they are more closely attached to the fuselage bulge. The cockpit also looks slightly wider than the B-2.

Now for my Photoshop montage. My image wasn't quite planform so it skews the results slighty but I think you can see thet the overall shape is correct but some of the angles are diffierent. A casual observer might never notice the difference without a true B-2 sitting side by side.
