I'll get the list started for "HISTORICAL" items. These should be models that really existed. Not fanciful eguipment that didn't get off the drawing board or out of someone's brain.

German SdKfz13 Light Armored Car - saw action in the early stages of WW2

Japanese Type 89 Main Battle Tank - saw extensive combat in China and the Pacific (WW2).

Russian SU-1-12 - saw actiona in the early stages of WW2. Heavily used in the battles with the Japanese in Mongolia, 1939. Basically, I GAZ truck with a 76mm Infantry Gun on a rotating platform. Russians first tank destroyer.

Historicals

Browning M1919 30 Cal
US and German infantry in Greatcoats (Some Germans in m1943 Hat)
Russian Rifleman with Moisin Nagant (Some with soft hats)

MODERN INFANTRY
- Middle Eastern Militia Infantry (eg Lebanon, Iraq)
- North African Militia Infantry (eg Somalia)
- Eastern European Militia Infantry (eg Chechen, Ossetian)
- Western Spec Op forces and Mercs (eg in bush hats, caps, etc.)

GHQ's MRAPs and Strykers are great but I get the feeling GHQ thinks we want to game Fulda Gap 2010 with them the way they ignore actual 21st century conflicts.

Yes GHQ, history did not end with the fall of the Berlin wall...

This is a request I know is not going anywhere but I think they would be sooooo cool 8)
They are "Historical" they fought many battles that you never heard of. At least 4 to 6 a year for 7 or 8 years.

What I'd like to see is the:
M551 Sheridan visual Mod for the T72.
M551 Sheridan visual Mod for the BMP
M551 Sheridan visual Mod for the ZSU 23/4
HMVV visual Mod for the BRDM

It would be fun to train a new player scenario rules are that all hits are kills. (provided the weapon shooting at the vehicle has a chance to penetrate) And have a training battle field that is fast and easy to set up. After learning the rules in this enviroment throw yoru newby in a real game with terrrain, civilians and some shots that "bounce" off.

With 50 million requests submitted to the wish list, I know my wants are insignificant... but, here is what I would love to see from GHQ and I think these would all be big sellers.

Lots of aircraft on my list, but really I think that's the area with the biggest holes in GHQ's WWII offerings.

He-111
Ju-87 B
Soviet La-5
Soviet Pe-2

and last but certainly not least:
sIG 33 B
oil drums, ammo crates, accessory packs, etc.

There you go, thats my list...

PUMA:
Germany's PUMA article on their update of procurement. http://www.defense-update.com/products/p/puma-aifv.htm Ordering 400+ of these.

Patria AMV:
Nine countries including Poland, Switzerland, & South Africa has ordered the Patria AMV 8X8 APC. Wheeled APCs are being deployed by several countries, just as the Stryker is by many countries.

Boxer APC
The Boxer APC is also getting orders in Europe, the Dutch for example. The wheeler APC is making a comeback, certainly in light of the recent conflict in the world.

C1, B1
Italian Tank and Tank Destroyer. Both have been used for years. The tank destroyer used in several countries with/for NATO or UN work.

Voltigeur -you are referring to the M551's and other US equipment used at the National Training Center (NTC) modified to appear as the Opposing Forces (OPFOR). Yes, they fought many battles...lol.

If you guys can tell the difference between varying factions of infantry at this scale you have better eyes then I do.

If you consider the Cold War hypotheticals as "historical" then I would suggest some CCs geared that way with T-64s, Chieftians, and AmX-30s.

.
You only purchase one type of 6mm infantry and use it for ALL of your armies?

I agree that in some circumstances at this scale it's tough to tell one rifle from another. But if you've managed to get by with a single figure nationality for all of your 6mm gaming I must say I'm impressed!

Which nation did you choose?

I do prefer the poses and larger size of GHQ's modern troops compared to their WWII troops. Maybe I can use your approach and use the Modern troops instead of, say, WWII Brits! Volume discounts here I come!!!

I have purchased both the my West German's (Mod German CC) and the Mod Soviet CC from GHQ. Now, with my magnifiers on I can see a slight differeence in the rifles carried, but compare the German with the Russians on the table I am hard pressed to see the differences. I suppose it could be that I am going with the bigger armies of the Cold War British, Canadian, Russian, West German, etc. Not the Brush War armies of Viet Nam, Africa, or Taliban.

I agree that in that context one would be hard pressed to tell the difference. I own modern US (Vietnam and Fritz Helmet), Israeli, Brit, Russian, etc and have mixed some of them together and nobody noticed! There are certain poses/support weapons that look perfect for a given army but are only available in another army. So, I freely intermix a variety of armies without any worries.

But I also own Bush War and Taliban figures and they look very different from the regular army figures listed above. They don't mix very well although Bush War Beret figures can serve as special/officer figures in regular forces.

And truly civilian figures would look even more different since they wouldn't have helmets and they'd have no kit. I would even be willing to accept a generic Civilian Militia package for now. Just guys in pants, shirt, no head gear or other kit, and armed with AKs and RPGs. That single pack could stand in for a lot of conflicts.

Instead of these historical conflicts we got the Wermacht 47 fantasy line. What's next, Orcs with AK-47s?
