Napoleonics Releases/Feedback

I'm starting to get into 10mm Napoleonics, which seems to be growing in popularity due to the additional detail you get over 6mm while still being able to produce large visually appealing armies. Not surprisingly, I have chosen to use GHQ to model my army as in typical GHQ fashion they are by far the most detailed figs in that scale.

While looking over GHQ's range, I notice that key units are still missing from the range which lead me over to the 2009/2010 release schedule to see what was on the drawing board. I couldn't help but notice that the last release was June of 2009 (some beautiful figs at that), and the next release isn't until April 2010? Seems GHQ was making some steady progress in developing this range, and I'm curious why we're waiting so long for the next batch of Napoleonic releases? While I believe (not sure) that some of the micro armor lines are by far the best selling for GHQ and their range is phenomenal, does the number of sales drive the release schedule to be so heavy on this while Napoleonics lag behind? I'm not complaining as I'm happy to even have GHQ Napoleonic models in 10mm - but I'd think in an effort to flesh out the range, they'd be shooting for one release every other month or something close to that? To put this in some sort of perspective, I see all the micro armor people really drilling into their requests, but imagine building a WWII US army without having models for the Sherman (it's not quite that bad, but right now you can't build any French guard units).

The one thing I see on many other Napoleonics forums that keeps more people from using GHQ, is people complain about the depth of miniature range, and also the fact the release schedule is so slow. People just don't want to get into a line that isn't well developed and this is compounded by the slow release schedule to finish developing the range.

So, take it for what it's worth - I'm a loyal GHQ customer, and any new army I get into I always look to GHQ first and I hope they will consider this customer feedback regarding their Napoleonic range.

The range does seem to be expanding very slowly but I assume that this is because it represents a sideline rather than GHQs core business. Still, I hope that I will see some British Light Dragoons at some point during my lifetime (that gives you 30 to 40 years barring accidents guys!)
