Seems the Uruguayan Army still has a quantity of M24 Chaffees in service. Stock built originals in terms of armament and look although re-engined with modern commercial diesels. They operate them alongside BMPs (actually Czech-built BVPs).
So just imagine your USMC coming ashore, offloading their LAVs from their ACVs, and marching inland to face Chaffee tanks and BVPs!
Sounds like an interesting way to spend a Saturday to me.

I was doing some research on the Eastern Front and found this information. It has about 100 examples of small unit tactics during the war as recalled by German officers. I believe it is/was supplimental reading for American officer cadets.
I found this booklet on other sites, but the pages were either blocked out or they wanted ~80 bucks for it.
I think the stores would make for some great scenarios as is or with some minor adjustments. If you back off the link to just the main site you will find a lot more information on the Russian terrain and climate that was confronted by the Germans, as well as other wars/battles.
An interesting example of the information talks about how all of the rivers encountered by the Germans in Western Russia run North-South with no major waterways running East-West. This left only roads and RR's as the main supply routes and made securing bridges/crossings a constant objective.
