Anybody have any idea on how I can make the SPz-12 aka HS.30 apc? It has the same hull as the Kanone 90mm. I would like to have a few for my early 1960's West German force.

Thanks

Please note that the Spz-12 was much smaller and lighter than the Jagdpanzer kanone 90mm; the only thing they have in common is the number of road wheels, 5 for both.

Moreover the lines of the hull were much simpler and straight. In any case the Spz-12 was a unique design in his own time so it would be very difficult to find something similar to modify.

To see a colletion of images look at this site:

Doug,

I think Scotia may make one but then there is the scale/quality issue. I've been looking for this as well... for years... and years... and years.

Not likely to see one anytime soon I'm afraid.

Hmm...was the M113 in West German forces by that time as well?

M-113 in the early '60s? They got them very early on, but I'm not sure what year.

But the SPz-12 would be much more interesting.

Maybe you could make one if you started out with a 1/300 scale Kanone, you would at least have the right number of road wheels.

Besides the scotia figure, which I may have a few lying around for the HS.30
cinc has the Austrian APC: 4K4FA-G2, which you would want to probably do something for the turret, but I think it has similar lines. One of the return rollers is not in the position of the HS.30, not many of the gamers would know the differences. Those that do wouldn't object.
