Nat,
I've purchased some... to be honest, if you looked at them side by side you wouldn't be able to tell a difference; you have to look closely. Once you do, here are the Pros for the new version:
-Tracks are more detailed, you can see the individual links... which is pretty crazy at this scale if you think about it.
-Road Wheels are more detailed, again very nice... take a look at the new PzIV G and you'll see what I mean, those are the road wheels used on the new H too.
-No tow cables on the back... I like this, because I don't always like the way the tow cables look at this scale.
-Muzzle brake appears more detailed... it's hard to tell but the muzzle brake does appear more detailed.
-Engine Panel grills are a little bigger and look more accurate.
Cons:
-The hull schurtzen is shifted further forward. Let's be honest, at this scale it hasn't moved by much, but this was one of the first things I noticed, it looks a little funny.
-The turret schurtzen brackets are angled differently than the older H; I'm sure there were variations on each tank, but I think the older version looked a little more natural.
-The turret pegs and holes are smaller and don't fit as nicely as the older H. I use these pegs to hold my turrets while painting so I wish they'd kept them bigger. Also, for those who use the pin method for holding the turret in place won't be able to do so any longer because the peg is much smaller/thinner.
Regardless of the little nit-picks I have listed it's still a very nice model. GHQ did a good job in keeping the model very similar to the old H; which is important for compatibility with existing models.
Sorry for being long winded on something no bigger than a dime

Hope that helps.
