Troubridge, 7 Aug 1914:
Not a battle as such, but certainly a fascinating what-if
German:
Goeben - Moltke class CB - Check
Breslau - Magbeburgh class CL - Check
British:
Defence - Minotaur class AC - COMING SOON
Black Prince - Black Prince Class AC
Duke Of Edinburgh - Black Prince Class AC
Warrior - Warrior class AC - Check
One ship, job done.
Coronel, 1 Nov 1914:
German:
Scharnhorst - Scharnhort Class CA - Check
Gneisenau - Scharnhort Class CA - Check
Leipzig - Bremen class CL - Check
Nuremburg - Konigsburg class CL
British:
Good Hope - Drake Class AC - Check
Monmouth - Monmouth AC - Check
Glasgow - Bristol class CL - Check
Ontranto -
Canopus - Canopus Class BB
One to three ships, depending, job done.
Oldendorf's battle line at Surigao Strait
Mississippi, 1944 version
Maryland, 1944 version
Two ships.
That'll do for a start. I'm sure there are more for early WWII in the Pacific that only need a small handful of ships to complete the opposing forces.

I'm trying to figure out how to shoehorn the Dardanelles into this list of battles. That opens up an immense number of ships of tremendous interest.

Dardanelles should be ready in about a week. Until then, one smaller battle and two convoys.
2010-06-13: Not quite ready with Dardanelles yet. I may have the initial attempt to force the straits in a few days. I would also like to cover the ships involved with the land campaign, but am having difficulty finding any information about the French merchant ships involved. Can anyone provide assistance with this?

Minesweeping trawlers (exact number unknown) local fishing trawlers impressed into service. The civilian crewmen, understandably, refused to operate under gunfire from the Turkish batteries. The British Navy has such low regard for them that they seemed to have kept no record of the names of the ships or of any casualties among the crew.

Sopwith seaplane, Admiralty type 860

French submarine Brumaire class (2)
French submarine Mariotte
French submarine Émeraude class (2)
German submarine U19 class
Rumpler Taube-type reconnaissance aircraft
Russian light cruiser Askold
Note on Turkish ship names: Because of translation problems, the spelling of the names of these ships is highly irregular. I have selected what I have found most frequently.
Turkish pre-Dreadnought battleship Messudieh (this was a very old ship anchored as a floating battery)
Turkish pre-Dreadnought battleships Hayreddin and Barbarossa (these were ancient hulls – essentially hulks used for storage and accommodation.
Turkish torpedo boat Sultanhisar (28-metre type purchased pre-war from France)
Turkish torpedo boat Maaveret
Turkish minelayer Nusret (This was actually the most important single ship in this battle. Mines laid by the Nusret were responsible for sinking at least three allied warships and acted as a deterrent to allied ships forcing the straits.)
(Note on future listings here: I had intended to include ships involved with the amphibious campaign, but have been able to find details for only the ANZAC forces. If anyone can provide information about ships involved with the other British forces or the French forces, please inform me.)

Famous Ships not Produced by GHQ

Here are a few more that fought in famous battles and not produced by GHQ in the incarnation they served at the battle.
Enterprise/Yorktown 1942 versions - Yorktown at Coral Sea and Midway. Enterprise at Midway and the battles of Guadal.. Currently GHQ makes the Hornet but she is the odd sister of the three with some mods that the others did not have and not an identical sister. Of course there were some minor differences between the Enterprise and Yorktown but not sure if there were enough to require two separate models here or if one could represent both.
Lexington as she appeared at Coral Sea. The 8 inch guns had been removed and some AA were installed.
Saratoga 1942 version. I believe she was at Guadal.
With these 4 models, GHQ would go a long way to having all the U.S. Carriers for these battles.

I think the CV for Argentina was meant to say 25 de Mayo, different build outs with the 25 de Mayo receiveing most of its external modifications while serving with the Dutch navy. The 25 de Mayo, like the Minas Gerais was also a Colossus class CV, but if only one is to be used, it should be the 25 de Mayo.
I would also submit for the Falklands:
Type 209 SS
D'Estienne d'Orves Corvette
Z-28 class PC
A-4Q
Super Etendard
Pucara
Vulcan
