Anybody have any information on what (if any) colors Russian, ex Soviet, future Russian Empire smoke grenades come in? My usual reference works have no information.

More than likely its smoke is a dark black color type mixed with willy-pete. Watch vids from You-Tube and saw a little bit.

Steel

RDG-1 Water safe/floating grenade use to screen river crossings w/ white obscurant
RDG-2 Conventional white smoke obscurant. NOT water safe
RDG-2Ch Black smoke version of RDG-2 that obscures IR
RDG-2Kh Produces Irritant rather than obscurant.
RDG-3 Orange smoke version of RDG-2
