On to Japan and other places sugestions for equipment.

Post by spock1 »

How about some late war Japanese equipment? Let’s start with the HO-NI I, II, & III and HO-Ro SPs, with 75, 105, 75 and 150 mm guns respectively. Then let’s move on to the Type 1(Chi-He), Type 2 Gun Tank, Type 3 (Chi-Nu), and Type 4 (Chi-To) tanks. Let’s add to this the Type 1 (Ho-Ha) Half-track and Type 1 (Ho-Ki) APC to the mix. Finally, let’s add some staff cars and larger artillery types, along with the late war jet and rocket aircraft.

Now let’s have some early stuff. Let’s bring on the M2A4 Lt. Tank with USMC troops to go along with it. Then we can add the Type 89 Tank with SNLF troops, along with the landing craft to support them! Finally, let’s not forget the early war USMC and US Army troops!

Then, let’s not forget some the Italian and German stuff also. Let’s bring on the Italian M42 & M43 Semoventes mounting 75 and 105 mm guns, with the M15/42 Medium tank along side them (the Germans used them all)! Then let’s bring on the German V1’s and V2’s with all their support equipment. Then, nothing says German command staff personal like the Mercedes-Benz G4 six-wheeled staff car running around. And finally, of course, it would be nice to run around the Med with German and Italian liters and landing craft. The British could use a few of these too!

Finally, what’s a battlefield (any battlefield for that matter) without some accessories to spice it up and/or the vehicles? They can also provide objects and/or obstacles to go after and/or around. Let’s start with items like barbed wire, X steel barriers, mines, boxes (all sizes), crates (all sizes and types), sandbags, barrels (wooden and 55 gal POL types), toolboxes, tools, gas (Gerry & Thin) cans, helmets (all nations), rolled blankets, tarps, etc.
I think that makes a nice starting point!

I agree the need for more Japanese. I would like to also see:

Japanese Paratroopers
Steel Pillboxes
Concrete Pillboxes
Log Bunkers
Infantry bridges being supported by engineers standing in water
a wide range of Japanese Landing Craft
SNLF Infantry
SNLF 76mm wheeled gun
25mm A/A Guns
Japanese Artillery
127mm A/A Guns
