I just saw this documentary on Marines fighting in Marjah last year. It's a pretty interesting snap shot of what it's like over there.

I always found the battle of Robert's Ridge/Takur Ghar to be a particularly intense engagement. Probably since the first account I read of it was written by 160th Operators who found themselves in the thick of it on the ground for the first time since 1993.

I am always surprised by how a few guys with rifles and a well trained sniper can hold up 200 well trained, highly motivated professional soldiers in this kind of environment. The marines obviously have thier hands tied by operating in a civilian area, but I am impressed by the amount of restraint they show.
