Would like to see engineering equipment vehicle or as part of GHQ buildings packs.

Modern NATO

M2 (Alligator) or M3 amphibious ferries/bridge used Germans, British and US Armies. Models in the road format and bridging format. Would make a good combat command pack.

Ribon Bridge and boats used by German and US Army. Pack containing lorries, bridge sections folded up and bridge in water in sections so we can fit different widths of rivers.

Biber Armoured Bridge layer German Army

AVLB (Bridge layer) on Challenger chasis for British Army.

Soviet/Russian

PMP Ribon Bridge with vehicles lorries and tugs. In travel mode and as sections of a bridge

GSP Ferries 2 vehicles a left and a right version make up one ferry. Models in travel position and also in ferry position.

or

PMM-2 amphibious bridging and ferry system that took over from the GSP with one vehicle only needed as a ferry.

Modern Armoured tank bridges

MT 55 AVLB

MTU-72 AVLB

Cranes with clamshell buckets and hooks, bulldozers up to D10, more dump trucks, personnel (pair with explosive detonator, several with bangalor torpedoes, several searching for mines with bayonets)(in other words an engineer company. All of this is for WW2 era combat. :D

The Bailey Bridge CC has been mentioned elsewhere and the opposition have a very fine US pontoon bridge... so maybe a German bridging CC with pontoon sections (including the pontoon boats stacked on a trailer) plus a few stormboats (both waterline and on their trailers).

Or a Siebel Ferry :D

Bailey Bridge?

Where is the bailey bridge located? GHQ does not make one, or does it?

No, GHQ don't make a Bailey bridge combat command set, I said the idea had been mentioned elsewhere on a similar GHQ 'wish list'.

Ok, now I read you 5 x 5

Perhaps the figures would be a bit much. They could be modified from infantry or artillery groups. The available dump truck could be used. I know bailey bridges are available from other dealers but I was hoping GHQ could make one. In any event, combat engineers would be a good bet for US/Allied forces and German as well. :D :D

Some links to pics of PLA support vehicals. Sorry that I can only find them availabe in Chinese, but I think it is interesting to see the variety of support vehicles behind the scene of any modern army:

It will be too much to ask GHQ to produce all these and I don't think people really need them in their games. Yet it's always nice to find them if one is collecting in 1 to 1 representation of their division/brigade. it'll be nice to have one or two generic types available as a start for scratch building. :)

German Army counter attack in full flow. Using Improved Ribbon Bridge the assault goes in. Armour and air defence cover the assault. A mixture of different product lines but could be GHQ!!?

I included this on the other thread but the D-9 Armored Dozer. Used by Israel in a variety of actions and the US in Iraq. Planning a big Fallujah project and they were very useful for 'clearing' buildngs full of insurgents.
