THE 6 DAY WAR GOLAN HEIGHTS SYRIA
THE 6 DAY WAR PART OF THE ARABIAN ISRAEL CONFLICTS ARISES DURING THE BATTLES IN THE MIDDLE EAST SUCH AS IRAQ IN 1967.
CONFLICTS START TO ARISE BETWEEN THE UNITED ARAB REPUBLIC AND THERE NEIGHBOURS SYRIA, JORDAN AND EGYPT.
THE GOLAN HEIGHTS - SYRIA
THE ISRAELIES HAVE DESTROYED NOW WHATS LEFT OF THE SYRIAN AIR FORCE AND ARE ABOUT TO LAUNCH THE 9th OF JUNE ASSAULT ON THE GOLAN HEIGHTS AN AREA PREVIOUSLY FOUGHT OVER BY THE SAME FORCES 2 YEARS AGO.

THE AREA OF THE REFINERY -
I DOHAVE MAP BUT COULDNT GET IT UP :? OH WELL ENJOY!

TOP LEFT - ARTILLERY IS ALL DEPLOYED HERE BY THE SYRIAN FORCES AS THEY START TO ENGAGE IN ARTILLERY FIRE AGAINST THE ISRAELIS. IS GUARDED BY VARIOUS ANTI AIRCRAFT
TOP RIGHT - THE SUPPLY CAMP WHICH WILL HOLD NUMEROUS INFANTRY UNITS AND ANTI AIRCRAFT WITH ON SHILKA AND THE OBJECTIVE TRUCKS.
MIDDLE - THE MOST IMPORTANT PART, THE REFINERY ON WHICH THE SYRIANS HAVE ESTABLISHED THERE MAIN FORCE ALONG WITH VARIOUS ANTI AIRCRAFT AND T-55 TANKS AND INFANTRY SUPPORT.
MIDDLE LEFT - DURING THE GAME REINFORCING SYRIAN TANKS BREAKING OFF AN ENGAGMENT WITH ISRAELI TROOPS COME INTO THE REFINERY AREA CONSISTING OF TEN T-72 MAIN BATTLE TANKS AND HELP WITH THE DEFENCE.
BOTTOM - THIS IS A FLAT PLAIN ONLOOKING THE REFINERY WHERE THE ISRAELI ENGAGEMENT FORCE ENTERS AND BEGINS FIGHTING PRACTICALLY STRAIGHT AWAY AFTER THERE HQ IS ESTABLISHED BEHIND THE CLIFFS.
THE MAIN OBJECTIVES -
THE REFINERY - THE SYRIANS MUST HOLD THE REFINERY FOR THE WHOLE DURATION OF THE GAME WITH AT LEAST ONE STAND REMAINING. THE ISRAELIS MUST TAKE THE REFINERY BY AS MUCH FORCE AS POSSIBLE WITHOUT RAZING IT TO THE GROUND.
THE SUPPLY TRUCKS - ALTHOUGH NOT VITAL THE TRUCKS WILL STILL WEAKEN THE SYRIANS IF DESTROYED CUTTING OFF THERE SUPPLIES.
THE ARTILLERY - THE SYRIAN ARTILLERY TO THE ISRAELIS IS A MAJOR PAIN IN THE BEHIND, CONSTANTLY HAMMERING THERE FORWARD COMMAND POST AND INFANTRY AND FOR THE ISRAELIS MUST BE RUSHED AND TAKEN QUICKLY BEFORE THE T-72s ARRIVE OR THEY ARE IN FOR A WORLD OF HURT.
THE ANTI AIRCRAFT - ISRAELI AIR POWER HAS SEIZED THE SKIES AND AT LEAST THREE FIGHTER BOMBERS ARE ON ROUTE TO THE REFINERY. BY MID GAME THE WILL ARRIVE SO FOR THE ISRAELIS IT IS VITAL THAT THEY TAKE CARE OF THE VARIOUS SYRIAN AA BATTERIES AND VEHICLES SPREAD ABOUT INCLUDING SHILKAS.
DEFEND - FOR THE SYRIAN THE ONLY OBJECTIVE IS MAINLY TO HOLD THE REFINERY AND TRY TO PREVENT THE ENEMY FORCE FROM DESTROYIN THE ARTILLERY AND ANTI AIRCRAFT AND OF COURSE THE SUPPLIES AT THE SUPPLY CAMP.
ISRAELI AIRCRAFT - THE FIGHTER BOMBERS EN ROUTE TO THE REFINERY ARE TO BE DESTROYED USING VARIOUS AMOUNTS OF SYRIAN ANTI AIRCRAFT SPREAD ABOUT THE MAP MOSTLY IN THE REFINERY AREA, IF THE ANTI AIRCRAFT ARE COMPLETELY WIPED OUT THE AIR FORCE OF THE ISRAELIS WILL MOST PROBABLY WREAK PLENTY OF HAVOC WITHIN THE REFINERY AND TO THE SUPPORTING ELEMENTS.
MOSTLY FICTIONAL, HAHAHA NOT BAD FOR A 15 YEAR OLD HUH? IM PROUD OF MY OWN LITTLE SCENARIO AND YOU GUYS CAN USE IT IF YOU LIKE, PLEASE LEAVE POSITIVE COMMENTS AND SUPPORT BECAUSE I FULLY INTEND TO BUY THE SYRIANS AND EVENTUALLY THE ISRAELIS AND MAKE THIS DARNED BOARD MYSELF!!! THANKS

Luft:

Sounds like a fun potential battle. The Arab-Israeli wars were my favorite subject for wargaming with a good buddy when I was in high-school, not much older than you. But oh, that was an embarrasingly long time ago.

Some observations:

The scenario you describe is a good basis for a fictional conflict. There have been numerous clashes between the Israelis and the Syrians.

The kit you have chosen for the Syrians misses the 1967 timeframe by more than a decade. If you want to do the six-day war, you should probably back off the tech for your Arab army. They didn't even have any T-62s in action until the Yom Kippur war of 1973, and T-72s didn't see action until the 1980s.

In 1967 the most common Syrian armor would have been older T-34-85s and SU-100s, with some units equipped with the then-modern T-55. The most common APC would have been the BTR-152, although some of the early model BTR-60s were also present. But more infantry rode in trucks than APCs at that time. The AA was mostly towed guns -- the ZPU-14 quad, the ZU-23 twin, and the S-60 57mm gun. I don't think there were any Shilka's in service with the Syrians at this time, although there were some ZSU-57s in service ... a pretty wicked weapon to turn onto un-suspecting ground forces who haven't yet learned to fear the enemy's flak. The 130mm guns are a reasonable choice -- they were popular among the Arab forces for their very long range. 122mm howitzers (the D30) was also used in large numbers.

The 3rd World Regular infantry should work out well. Helmets and guns look about right for any of the first-line Arab states. The Brushfire Warriors infantry might work as well, as many Arab soldiers shunned helmets in favor of visored caps in the middle eastern sun.

At this time (1967) the Syrians were still reputed to have some Pz IVs in service too. My IDF sources assure me that, despite what has been written in books on the 1967 conflict, all of the Syrian Pz IVs (J models) had long-since lost their engines, and were dug-in as semi-permanent AT bunkers.

The Egyptians also operated a few Archers (Brit-made 17pdr SPGs) and JS-3s. The Jordanians had mostly British kit, using Centurions with the 20pdr gun.

You haven't mentioned the kit you will be choosing for the Israelis. Their most common tanks were the Super Sherman (wth French 75mm gun), the M48 (most with 90mm gun), and the Centurion (with the 105mm gun) at this time. Also some AMX-13s for recon. US-made halftracks, primarily the M5 and M9 versions, were quite common as APCs. Jeeps were also used for recon, and jeeps with 106mm RCLs were common for infantry AT support.

But ... all of that said, if you want to go with the list you've created, by all means do. Looks more like a 1980s Bekaa Valley force to me, but hey, that's every bit as good a choice for wargaming as 1967!

Thanks MK
You know most of the time i just want to make a fun fictional battle so right now i dont really care for dates i just read a hell of a lot about the Golan Heights and it sounded pretty interesting to do with GHQ, and i love the list i created plus before i made this list i played Ghost Recon, the first one on playstation 2 and it also inspired me to want to create a Georgian Rebel force which would be easy but i cant really recognise the tanks in the game but the APCs are definatly BMP 1s but i like the history they put behind it all. Nd yeah same with you i love all the desert campaign stuff, for some reason i really think it would be fun to make battles fought in the early and more modern desert battles fought between third world and rising countries. I'am also interested in the Gulf War.
But seems that you are always such a help MK could you maybe make me up a small list for Georgian Rebels in 1:1 ratio so how you would get them in the mail 5 tanks in a pack if you know what i mean thanks, oh and i want to leave the Israeli list till later.
