OK...I have found a simple cheap substitiute for an LHA.LHD or even a CV in near micro armor scale. While at my local dollar store, getting some last minute giftwrapping supplies this weekend, I stumbled upon a big plastic kids toy aircraft carrier on the toy aisle. This toy was pretty close to 1-285/1-300 scale, even if it was not exactly shaped or sized like a scale model. (The closest being the Tamiya/MRC USS ENTERPISE in 1-350 scale. For gaming purposes the deck and island work pretty well. I see a great potential for its use as an LHA/LHD with the GHQ Ospreys,Super Stallions,Super Cobras and Harriers. Too bad it doesnt have a well deck for the LCACs!!
Size wise, when the new Super Hornets and Tomcats come out, we may have something here. I could see a micro scale carrier strike group here. I already have the Dragon 1-350 Spruance class DD's(2) a couple of the Dragon Ticonderoga class CGs, and an Arleigh Burke DDG. Look out, Donald!! Micro scale naval wargaming may be coming!!
I even figured out an orbat for my carrier wing
VFA- 432 (3 F-18E)
VFA - 7 (3 F-18E)
VFA - 257( 3 F-18E/F)
VFA - 654(3 F-18E/F)
VFAQ -6 (1 EF-18G)
VAW - 19 (2 EV-22B)
HSL - 85 (2 SH-60F)
HSM -1 (2 SH-60M)
Cant wait till the end of February!!

Sorry, but no cardiophagy on this issue for me:

- I am perfectly happy with 1/2400 scale for my ships. Storage and playing area are major limitations. The only naval types I have in Microarmor scales are landing craft.
- My major time interest is in the 1880 through 1950 era. No LHAs or LHDs in my fleets. If I were to get helicopters, they would be first-generation Flettner Fl 282, Sikorsky H02S Dragonfly, etc.
- My major combat interest is in surface warfare. Aside from a few oddities (French Bearn, for example), my air assets are limited to catapult types and seaplanes.
