Trumpeter Salute (Canada's longest running miniatures gaming convention) takes place March 30, 31 and April 1 in Burnaby, BC. The almost-final event list is posted on the website (www.trumpetersalute.com) with 90 events over the weekend.

There is a good selection of microarmour battles, WW1 and WW2 naval games and 1/285 scale air battles, plus a host of fantasy/SF, ancients and Warhammer games. Featured for 2012 is the Battle of Queenston Heights, commemorating the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812.

In 2 years you'll be able to re-enact the capture of Washington and the burning of the White House.
