Each end of the box had a fifth-wheel pin. Two Panzerkampfwagen VI chasses (made redundant by introduction of E-75) with fifth-wheel connectors would pick up the chassis and, working in tandem, move the piece in one load

Since GHQ has promised a Me 262 for the 2012-2013 season, I am replacing it with the Blohm & Voss P194: This was an asymmetric design for ground support and attack aircraft, an advanced development of the Bv 141. The P194 had a single radial engine and added a turbojet mounted in the rear of the cockpit pod.

Dornier Do 335

Focke Achgelis Fa 223: medium-weight helicopter with two sets of blades mounted wide on either side of the fuselage

France

AMX-50B (AMX-68t?): Heavy tank with chassis similar to Tiger II but with 120 mm gun in an oscillating turret.

Immediately after the war, the French used a number of Panther tanks left behind by the Germans. Hypothetically, they might have mounted a 100 mm gun in an oscillating turret

Chasseur de Chars (1945): medium tank with 90mm gun in oscillating turret

Char 48FCM: quadruple 20 mm turret AMX-13 chassis
AMX-DCA (AMX-13/S530): twin 30 mm turret mounted on the AMX-13 chassis

AMX-13 PDP: bridge layer

AMX Mk F3 (AMX-155): 155 mm howitzer in open mount on modified AMX-13 chassis

AMX-LT: artillery fire control version of the AMX-VCI
AMX-PC: command vehicle version of the AMX-VCI
AMX-VCA: support vehicle (crew and ammunition) for the AMX Mk F3

TT6 reconnaissance vehicle

EBR-75 armored car

Dassault MD.450 Ouragan; single-engine jet fighter of conventional layout

The SNCAC NC.2001 ‘Abeille’ medium-sized helicopter using intermeshing rotors

Hungary

TAS 44M: this was a medium tank carrying the same 7.5-cm KwK 42 /70 gun as the German Panther.
TAS 45M Arpad: this was an assault gun version of the TAS 44M. The intended armament was the 8.8-cm KwK 36 L/56 as on the German Tiger tank.
43M Lahel A: this was a fully-tracked armored personnel carrier based on the 43M Zrínyi chassis. The personnel compartment was essentially an open-topped armored box.

Italy (Thanks to TAMMY for correction)

Carro Armato P 30/43 – This was a design only for an improved version of the P 26/40; enlarged and more heavily armed and armored. The armament may have been a version the Cannone da 90/53 anti-aircraft gun, but I think the Cannone 75/46 would have been more likely. Good enough in 1944, it probably would have been replaced by something better by 1947.

Semovente M42L da 105/25 - This was a self-propelled howitzer on the chassis of the M42 tank. The few built were used by the Germans after the Italian armistice. It would have been outdated by 1947.

Semovente P40 da 149/40 - This was a self-propelled gun on a modified chassis of the P26/40 heavy tank. Despite the limitations of inadequate space for crew and ammunition (requiring a separate support vehicle), the quality of the gun would have made this a useful artillery piece into 1947.

Japan

Chi-Nu (Medium Tank Type 3): An improvement of the Chi-Ha with a larger turret and a high-velocity 75 mm gun.

Chi-To (Medium Tank Type 4): The Japanese considered this their equivalent of the German Panther. The chassis was similar to the Chi-Ha with a seventh wheel added to each side. A well-shaped turret mounted a high-velocity 75 mm gun

Chi-Ri (Medium Tank Type 5): The Japanese considered this their equivalent of the German Tiger. The chassis was similar to the Chi-Ha but with eight wheels on each side. The turret was to contain a 85-to-100 mm gun

Ho-Ha (Half-tracked armored personnel carrier Type 1): This was similar in concept to the German Sd.Kfz.251, but less sophisticated and slightly larger. A small number were encountered in the Philippines and in China

Ho-Ki (Fully-tracked armored personnel carrier Type 1): Same engine and tracked chassis as the Ho-Ha with an open-topped rear compartment

The Italian P26/40 is in GHQ production already (P40 IT7)

An interesting variant will be the self propelled 149/40 on the same hull.

Wehmacht 47 German models

Post by Schwerepunkt »

I believe the E100 Panzerjager would have carried a 17cm/55 and was known as krododile.
The 55mm Panther Coelian and the quad 30mm Panther would be excellent additions.
The twin 88 (0r 128 flak) on MAUS or E100 would finalize the heavy fllak. Any new additions to the 350/351 SdFz series would be welcome.

My understanding is that the armament for the E100 Panzerjaeger was not yet finalized at the end of the war. A 17.5cm L/55 was one of the proposed armaments. However, I prefer a 15 cm gun (perhaps based on one of the abandoned 15 cm Flak guns). The 15 cm Flak was about L/65 with correspondingly impressive muzzle velocity. The Flak version was abondonded because of short barrel life. This was more of a problem for a Flak gun expected to fire throughout a bombing raid (which could be all night with the British).

In conjunction with this, I would arm the turreted E100 with a long 12.8 cm gun (a L/66 was in development) rather than the 15 cm usually mentioned. Likewise, we could propose an E100 Sturmhaubitze with a 21cm barrel.

I'm not against the 17.5cm in an E100 Panzerjaeger; it's just a matter of personal preference. If GHQ makes the basic hull, I can replace the gun barrels as I see fit.

Thank you for including the quad 3cm FlakPanther. Eventually, I would like to see a whole series of Flakpanzers for W'47 with interchangable mounts:
- Pz38D or E10 with quad 2cm (open mount), twin 3cm (Kugelblitz turret - already available on PzIV chassis), or single 3.7cm
- E25 or Panther with quad 2cm (enclosed mount), twin 3.7cm (Coeleon - already available), or single 5.5cm
- E50 with quad 3cm, twin 5.5cm (Falke), or single 8.8cm (open mount)
- E75 with quad 3.7cm, twin 5.5cm or single 8.8cm (semi-enclosed mount)
- E100 with twin 8.8cm or single 10.5cm in semi-enclosed mount (Alligator) (or possibly 12.8cm Flak in open mount

Exchangeable turrets

The Flak Panther could have various armaments, such as the quad 30, quad 20, twin 37, twin 55 and perhaps other calibers. The largest tanks could carry the twin 88 or a single with more electronic gun direction equipment on each vehicle.
Many of these vehicle projects were not finalized at war's end but IMHO, the 17cm gun could have been carried.
All of the 351 series you point out would have been developed by the Waffenamt or appropriate agency to meet ground force needs in 1946 onward. I still believe a PzKwIV chassis could have been used to mount an AD missile. This would have not been useful against the smaller fighter bombers employed by the Allies but would have been against medium and heavy bombers.
