Show us yer stuff - Game Boards and Terrain

Post by AllenRockwell »

The "Show us yer stuff" topic is hugely popular, so I wondered if a similar thread for just game boards and terrain might be popular as well.

Let's see...

Applied the pigments and ground covering tonight. Some of the ground covering will blow off once everything is dry so there will not be as much ground covering as you see in these photos. Tomorrow I add some trees and start adding a few Afghan Hovels into the hillsides.

That block of white foam is attached to the bottom of the air conditioner because if it wasn't there you could really slam you head into it and end up with a nasty gash in your forehead and blood all over your face.... don't ask me how I know that, just trust me.

Creating some boards that will be a nightmare to fight on.

This is the fictitious country of Malakastan*, it has many features similar to Afghanistan and other Middle East countries.

Thanks.

We are not supposed to mention other brands on this forum. I'll PM you.

I know .... I'm just very sensitive to the fact that this is GHQ's forum and I'm not here to promote my own products. I'm here to support GHQ, my favorite little metal tank maker.

Here are some of my boards

Post by lacamas »

I am working on a few of my own boards using the GHQ hexes.
This is the bottom right corner from Map #2 in the GHQ Normandy Terrain Maker booklet

Roads and Town are in.
The building with the black roof is one i purchased from a company in the UK.
The others are paper buildings on GHQ's website.
Need to flock the fields, still deciding on what to use. Then time to plant a ton of trees.

I plan on making a total of 4 boards like this one.

Great work so far!

From a thread I started on my terrain boards

I have a bunch of Allens buildings so I can add some proper town areas. One thing I realised when I starting using the boards was that I ddin't leave any spaces between the hedges for buildings. Also this year I wil add some large river boards/coastline.
