Mark - Your imaginative use of odds and ends for your "mysterious outpost" brought the Alec Guinness movie "Our Man In Havana" to mind. I'll be looking for vacuum cleaner components now in your installations.

There is something powerful in seeing an image of work done by others.
OK so over a Month ago I decided to build a port area to keep my ever growing tiny boat collection in (1/2400).
Today 11.00 Wed 4th Aug and this is how much got done.............Nothing.

Image

Well I did cut the board to size (24x18") so it will fit into a draw for safe dust free keeping but not much else.
Once again a bad case of mid Summer paralysis by ** CENSORED ** (thinking to much) and the normal other non micro armour stuff that keeps getting in the way.

So I here by call on the forum weapons of guilt and sarcasm to force me into action, I give myself one week from now to make a usable 1/2400 port.
Up and running by 12 noon 11th Aug or the tongue lashing can begin. The clock is ticking.
Mick.

...and as you can see by this photo, their fleet has run aground in a mud flat. Normally we'd laugh at their incompetence but this is just sad.

Masters of Military on Shapeways, and probably others, has some port facility models in 1:2400. Even a dry dock.

I have contemplated doing a vignette of Pearl Harbor for my PacFlt. It is just so huge and spread out.
