...and as you can see by this photo, their fleet has run aground in a mud flat. Normally we'd laugh at their incompetence but this is just sad.
Now that's what I'm taking about ! Looking for some blue paint, I have to start somewhere.
Thanks Mark.

Brigade Commander.
That was half of the problem, the small scale was starting to evolve into bigger and bigger projects.
Plan A was a simple 12"x12" square and a few strips for jetty, few buildings, cranes and a warehouse.
Plan B add a commercial side to the port.
Plan C hey I can build part of a small city, airport etc etc.

I will make it 24"x18" on one board (the biggest I can easily store) and just get something done!
NO additions until I'm happy with this one.

Wait...you built your Navy before you had water to sail them in? Good lookin ship Mick! I can't wait to see your harbor and docks and city and powerplant to provide electricity to the port and highway system to move all those containers from the port to the cities and the factories to build the airplanes for your airport.

I'm looking forward to seeing your port!

And for the career hobbyist that is how it starts. And somewhere along the line you find yourself at a lonely mountain, irritating a dragon. And bringing home bags of jewels and gold. Oh, wait. Never mind that was something else. I mean that is how you end up building a whole country. :)

It's easy for you folks to mock but it is not that simple to just build a port.
The Bodgit & Konnem shipyard section needs a couple of big gantry cranes (like the Samson and Goliath at Harland & Wolff, Belfast).
I have yet to find names for them, let alone set the correct colour......what is the B&K company colour?

Think I'll go outside and paint some BTR-50's while I think it out

I love looking at everyone's work bench. It makes me feel so unproductive, but it's also very inspiring and motivational!

@ 7.62 : head to a fabric store. They make cotton print fabric with various blues that have a nice ocean look.

Saturday progress....

I failed new math so, needing 18 2S1s I ordered 5 packs of 5....so I have an extra battery, now headed for my regular gaming collection, plus one more howitzer for good luck I guess?

Mark, is that 1-to-1? Or each vehicle is a platoon?
I like seeing large mass of armor. Show us….

I have three full battalions at 1:1, not counting the supports and soft skins, tanks only.
