That is a great looking game, Bill! How many people played this and where did you play? It looks fabulous.

Love the game Bill and hope one day to do a similar board. Curious as to why you based your gliders? To preserve paint job (which looks excellent)? I have not based my gliders.

Chris - great idea in the Russian tractors, had not thought of that modification. Very cool.

@Pete, we had 8 players and I did my normal GM duties. The game was a club game held in my basement game room.

@Burt, thanks very much for the kind words. You nailed it on the gliders. My previous batch, which were Collectair if I recall correctly, were pretty beat up. This board is particularly abrasive due to the rocky soil.

Hi all,

I am a long time lurker, first time poster. I just finished up my BMD-4 VDV Company, and wanted to share. (ty Battle Order for TO&E)

Image
HQ Squad with 1 BMD-4 and 1 BTR-D, 3 Platoons of 3 BMD-4, and a Weapons Squad with their own BTR-D

I thought the arid camo would look better than standard green, I was pretty happy with how it turned out

Image
I tend to take some artistic liberties with my infantry, 95% green models are not that fun to paint in my opinion. I'm not a huge fan of these modern RU infantry. Although this is my first eastern faction I have put together, I guess I can't expect them to look as good as the IDF models I use for most of my western factions.

Image
I'm too cheap to shell out for the RU heavy weapons pack just for just one MG, so I just snagged a static from an extra Toyota Technical I had. Weapons and HQ squads are slightly undermanned at the moment, might get around to that after finishing my Swedish and Norwegian Mechanized Infantry Coys. Until then, Cheers! I always enjoy checking this message board, equally inspiring and humbling to see everyone's work!

Bill fantastic smoke effect.

SK-105 are made with hull of M-41 and turret of AMX-13 (90) N-113. It is shorter and thicker to represent the 105mm.

The two SK-105 on the right are retreating or placed in a hide to bug-out; the three on the left are advancing.

I found this tractor among a box of bits and bobs whilst looking for something else. Maybe the start of a modern Ukrainian army?

That's a cool find Gazza! Do you know the manufacturer? I love it when I'm looking for something and I find a long lost and forgotten vehicle or turret!

I think that it's from AV2 - Airfield Set 2 by Skyraider Miniatures in the UK.
