7.62 that is seriously cool!

I so need to take a break from 7th Army and get to work on Pearl Harbor. And pick a camouflage measure, or two or three, and finish painting so I can base them. Should have gone with the post WW-II period. Overall Haze Gray. And underway.

Try this website for camo measures, good stuff. Just make sure you do your research for the colors of the turret tops of the battleships.

I have this. My OCD gets me stuck on all of the ships that survived more than a year would have been in at least two different camouflage measures. For the ones that were sunk during my time range I use the measure that she wore when she was lost. For the others I sometimes think do I go with the one she wore at the largest battle she fought in or the latest one in my time period or the most common one for the class, etc. I cannot get out of my own head and just pick one. Plus, if I just pick one measure for them all some will end up in a measure they never wore in the 1:1 scale.

Like I said, cannot get out of my own head. :(

I tend to paint my ships in groups according to a battle or a campaign, like right now I’m painting the ships of Taffy 3, so all the ships I’m painting now are measure 32. Sometimes GHQ makes the decision simple, as their models only give you a specific time period the model would fit into, like their only real Pearl Harbor battleship models would be Arizona and Oklahoma, the rest on the models are configurations post Pearl Harbor, so that can kind of narrow paint options down. Sometimes I just don’t care, particularly when it comes to destroyers, lol

Mick,
Those cranes, etc look great! Love the blue lifts. You can move some Conex boxes.
Are a pair of yellow for agriculture (wheat, grain)?
What is your plan for the other?

Thanks Chris,
The smaller yellow ones will go to my Naval fleet maintenance facility, idea from CFB Esquimalt in BC.
The bigger yellow ones do look kind of "agriculture (wheat, grain)?" so I guess I now need a storage elevator- dam it another build.
Big blues will go on a dry dock for the ship building side of the port. Scale span would be 200' with a 150' lift.
They mostly came from just looking at a bunch of images of different docks and ports to come up with generic designs.
Very time consuming but should put me off 1/2400 scale for a while so I can get back on track with the real 6mm kit.

Nice work Mick and Mark! Mick I love how your harbor is coming together! Are you ready to get rid of all your 1/285 stuff and just go with 1/2400 scale? LOL

Mark, your vehicles look great! I really dig the glass coloration. I'm too scared to try painting that glass effect on something that small. Well done!

Mick, leave the Ag lifts, cargo ships have tons of grain put in their hold.
Look at the movie Lethal Weapon or Lethal Weapon 2, where the South African consulate smuggling money.
