broken parts ?

Post by nashorn88 »

I get broken parts from time to time but this was the 1st time I ask for a few replacements for the broken items.
I always hesitate to ask since my best friend had a really bad experience way back with GHQ and he was so piss he sold me his collection. He sent back 10 broken turrents that he would save up from packs . Long store short was someone at GHQ said they checked each with a micro scope and determine it was all broken by him. I know he just collected and never played with them.

I sent a request in and never heard back so anyone else experience this ?

GHQ has provided me with great service.
Several years ago I have accumulated a few different items, when I placed a direct order, GHQ supplied my with replacement items. I did not have any questions or issues. The GHQ guarantee has value.

Several years ago I received an incompletely-casted part from GHQ. When I contacted them, they didn't ask me to return the faulty part; they just sent a replacement.

My only suggestion is to call GHQ. I emailed multiple times and waited several weeks but... no response.

When I called they got me the missing part rapidly.

Missing parts, miscast parts are, I'm sure the same thing from their prospective.

So call

For what it's worth, exactly once I've asked for a replacement (via email) for a sub-standard part, though I feel I could have asked more than that but instead muddled through.

By my own request I asked for it to be held until my next order. When that order was finally made and delivered some months later … there was my replacement part.

No mess, no fuss, no debate.

I even offered to photograph the unsatisfactory part, but was waved off and told that it was no problem - if I wasn't happy I'd be sent a replacement.

Which is exactly what happened.
On balance, Jellicoe was probably right.

Hi,
I’ve been buying GHQ models the last 15 years, and I have only received one (1) model that was miscast of the 200+ models I have. That one was replaced by GHQ
with no question asked, I mailed them a photo from my phone and got a replacement hull after some weeks. I live in Sweden and I got no local dealer that
have the GHQ line so each order is made directly to GHQ, a great company with great customer support.

Contact them and explain the problem, I think they will solve it!

I can only add my voice to the chorus. I bought a GHQ F15 when I was sixteen that was missing a rear fin. I just chalked it up to bad luck, painted the model as it was an didn't think about it again until just a few years ago (twenty years later) I e-mailed GHQ and told them my story. They shipped replacement parts to me without any hassle. Their customer service is amazing.

Out of the 200 or so ship models I've purchased and assembled, I've only had two with improperly cast parts (both turrets on large BB). I contacted GHQ by email and the parts were replaced speedily. Perhaps a few more had smaller parts that were sub-standard, but as these had extra parts (like turrets or masts) with the kit, no replacement was necessary. Always excellent service.

UNLIKE a competitor where it took three increasingly strident emails to get a missing part on a CL supplied, and the part came with a letter telling me never to order from them again. I have, of course, complied.
