Nice job GHQ!

Post by CBoy3 »

I have been a lurker/occasional poster on this forum for quite a few years now. One thing that I like is that the tone is always friendly, and there aren't the pissing matches that you sometimes see on other forums of all types. One thing that seems to slip by is the nitpicking on our hosts. Yeah, they slip up and don't have photos immediately on all of the models, maybe I'd like them to make a different variant, etc., but overall they fill a niche like no one else in the world. Any of those things like I listed are only affecting their sales, no one is being wronged. I would like to see everyone keep that in mind when you think about making a post like that.

As I have said in the past, I've run a small business, and it's not easy. Not to mention the fact that this is a pretty narrow area of interest. They made their choice to be in this industry, and I want to do what I can to keep them around. I don't think that all of the bashing/questioning/etc. on the forum that they pay for is showing much gratitude. In all honesty, if I were in their shoes, I probably would have pulled the cord on this a long time ago.

With all of that being said, I just want to say that I am happy that the forum is here. I don't look in as much as a lot of you, but I like to see projects that you are doing, pick up interesting facts, see new techniques for modeling, etc.

I just wanted to start a topic that let our hosts know that I appreciate their models, and this forum.

The new pontoon bridge set looks really nice, and that T55MV is amazing. I can't wait to see that painted up.

Amen to that CBoy3! Truer words have not been spoken about small business. Thanks for pointing this out!

I agree completely.

They don't always make what I want but someone else is happy and the range continues to grow, and they do listen to their customers.

Cheers
