Using the Micro-Armor WW2 rules. Anyone know how long a smoke mission stays "on the ground"? It seems artillery impacts end after a single turn, but at a 3 minute per turn scale, that seems far too short for smoke to disperse. Any house rules out there?
Thanks,
Matt

Your reading is correct, the smoke mission lasts for 1 turn unless you notate the mission with a duration or call it multiple times (duration's make more sense). We leave it up to scenario designers to add in the effects of 'wind' or lack there of in the specific games they wish to play.

Did some research and it seems that 3 minutes is about right for one round - extends to 5-7 for 120mm or larger rounds. Thanks.

These are the timng of the shells not of the screen.
That is a base ejction shell will make smoke, but the consegent screen will last longer.
How long depends on wind and other weather conditions.
It is not easy to simulate in MA rules as the screen should not be centered on the aiming point but this is the starting point of it that develops downwind from there.
The screen may last 15 mnutes or more if not fed with additional shells. These can be at reduced ate (roughly 1/3 of the initial salvo). Obviously this depends from the wind strength. Note that without wind the screen will not properly develop and with strong wind it will dissipate fast. The optimum wind range i is 3 to 10 miles per hour.
