GHQ's new WW2 US Marines ind. infantry size and contents

Post by jandretti »

Yes I would like to know if anyone can tell me information on GHQ's new WW2 US Marines ind. infantry actual contents. And also are these WW2 figures the same size as other GHQ WW2 infantry. The reason I ask this question is because I heard that the WW2 British paratroopers were larger than other GHQ WW2 figures. Future thanks.

The pic above is the contents of one blister and the contents are below:

Starting one upper left, two sprues each with 4 prone BAR gunners, 2 kneeling leaders and 2 standing leaders. Below them are three sprues, each with 3 soldiers advancing with shotguns, 3 advancing with SMG and 3 riflemen advancing at port arms. The five sprues on the right each have 2 men advancing with BAR, 2 men throwing grenades and 2 men kneeling and firing.

Regarding size, the new Marines are much more to scale with the previous individual infantry blisters. The pics below compares the MG, BAR and Mortar stands between the new marines on the bottom and the oversize US Paras on the top.

The only figure badly out of scale is the kneeling leader who is way too big but that is the case with every blister that particular pose is in.

All in all I think the Marines are very well done and GHQ even switched the asst gunner on the M1919 LMG to the correct side to feed ammo to to the gun as opposed to the Paras where he was on the wrong side, (he is clearing a jam, that's my story and I'm sticking to it!"
Tactics are the opinion of the senior officer present.
