Looking at the Modern UK line-up, the new Warrior and Challenger vehicles are much welcomed, as is the new Land Rover, and all the ones we have seen so far are lovely models.
I would like to make a plea for an updated Modern UK Heavy Weapons pack next year. The current pack is now a little out of date and a #2 pack could ideally have :
- Sustained fire GPMG 2 man team
- Sniper prone with L115A3 or 'Sharpshooter'
- SAWs (most sections now have one when on operational service)
- Javelin launcher (Milan in current pack is no longer in service)
- Starstreak LML (currently UK has no SAM at all except Blowpipe in current pack which is now out of service)
Some of design work is already in place as they are US weapons and are in the new US pack. Between the two packs that should breathe a new life into my British Battlegroup!
If we get more British packs, I'd love to see a pack with a Titan and a Trojan and another with perhaps 4 MAN tanker/1 MAN Recovery trucks. Maybe a Combat Command with a Watchkeeper Battery if we're getting adventurous or squeeze in a small UAV like Tarantula Hawk into the Heavy Weapons pack?
I would have gone for Rapier or Stormer Starstreak but they have both now been tagged for replacement and if anyone has a clue what protected vehicle fleet we're going to end up with......
