I'm trying to come up with some terrain that has been fought over in multiple conflicts.
This is my criteria,
European, WWII and pre-1500.
Bonus if the same piece of ground was also fought over during the Napoleonic Wars.
* double bonus if the WWII is U.S. versus German.
I know Belgium is one area that kept getting hit but I haven't identified anything that works yet.
Any ideas?

Minden, Germany
The Minden Gap is a significant piece of terrain on the north German plain. Fought over through the centuries going back to Charlemagne, also Napoleon, WW II and would have played an important role in any Warsaw Pact attack on NATO.
