Pak40 Halftracks

Unless I am going stoopid, the half tracks with my German Pak40s require me to cut/file down the tops if I want to use the covers?

Hello Extra Crispy,
Yes, for the SdKfz11 with tracted Pak 40 pack, all the details at the top of the halftrack must be removed to put in place the cover. It's not very complicated, but you have to pay attention to avoid damaging the model.
