Recon flights over Yer Bouti and Yer Bouti City have begun with fighter escort. SEAD is also in the general area if the need arises to supress SAM sites. Images of rioting in the streets of YB City and other larger towns that have been evaluated. The border areas of the West Sahara have been closed for most traffic.

Humanitarian aid is being raised, food and medical supplies Convoys are assembling now and departing. Expect the first convoys to arrive at the border within 10-12 hours going down the the Coastal Highway and interior Highland Hwy. Over 60 trucks are on the move. Might even call UPS and FedEx to help. Rail traffic will begin to occur within 2 days.

The ROD carrier Maelstrom and her squadron are currently in the area. While not organized for humanitarian relief, she does carry a squadron of SH-60 helicopters that can assist with distribution of food and medical supplies. I'm sure we have some food to spare as well since we have the fast support ship Bobcat along. Is our assistance needed?

The member for Yer Bouti addressed the UIN today.
He thanked the other members States for their offers of assistance but expressed that the minor protests are an internal affair.
He went on to say that any reports of shortages are an effect of profiteers and hoarders.
Ample food is available within the Country and laws will be passed to ease the flow of goods and enforce the new prices.

Also he asked that the Moroccodom Air Force respect YB's sovereignty and pointed out the risk of a mid air collision was high with YBAF (refurbished) Mig 29's conducting live fire exercises in the next few days.

In closing he said the YB economy has never been better and that the introduction of foreign exchange controls was a temporary measure.

UIN situational assessment report:
YB is upgrading their military significantly. They are developing the ability to conduct defensive movement in a tactical, operational sense. Offensively, only in a tactical offensive based upon their capabilities. In the future, they should be able to conduct operational offensive to some level of success against some neighbors. Certainly with the ability to transport water supplies and petro to areas as they have new tanks that have been delivered. They seem to have quiet a number of those tanks for water and petro. It appears that Yer Bouti is expect to get more in Yer Bouti.
It also appears from intel that Main Battle Tanks (MBT) are being shipped to Yer Bouti. With MBTs and the tanks for water and petro. A caution for those in the region to be aware and for the UIN to be concerned to maintain peace and provide for economic activities in a positive manner.
.
There is a question with the MBTs, are they for suppression of the population in Yer Bouti with the new Sheik Yer Bouti IV now exerting control? Or is this situation for military ambition in the region against neighbors?
As of now, there does not appear to be many rotor wing or fixed wing aircraft in Yer Bouti. There have been some of the military leadership purged recently. This is creating opportunities for promotions. Many loyal to the Sheif from the Kabab region seem to be moving up in the ranks the quickest.
.
The above report was leaked out by A-saucage at Weiner-Leaks.

This morning two powerful naval forces passed each other in the Indian Ocean! The ROD’s Surface Battle Group 11 (led by the battleship Fenris) saluted a task force from the Northern Dominion of Alberta Navy that consisted of 6 destroyers, a cruiser, and a battleship.

The NDA Navy typically operates in the Pacific and the Arctic Oceans, but clearly, they have the ability to project power across the globe.

The ROD battle group commander is making a mental note…we need to have a battleship convention when this is all over!

UIN is discussing the situation in Yer Bouti with a selection based upon violence, death and intimidation of voters, poll workers and vote counters. Hundreds of thousands of missing ballots. Entire voting district booths and offices were cleaned out from testimony and reports from Election Commissioners. Then the tribal selection was rigged as well. Only Al Kabab want Shiek IV, The other four districts/states wanted Don En Yer Bouti to serve as Shiek.
.
This peaceful time reminds the world of the 'Phony War' of WW2. Major acquisitions of military equipment, offensive in nature. It was found out that YB now has Scud-B, SS-21, and SS-20 ICBM. These weapons in the hands of an unstable leader is a concern for all sovereign nations and citizens.
.
Al Kabab conducted bombings in Tunis, Tunisia. TNN (Tunisia News Network) reports over 60 dead on the scene with two different bombs detonated. Two bombers were carrying the bombs on a suicide vest. Further investigation continues.

Expansion

Must say the armies of my neighboring countries look like they have increased some. Because of this, Putinville announces the completion of a T-80U regiment and the 60% completions of a T-90 and T-64 regiment. Also, Putinville announces the completion of nuclear capable missiles and air defense systems across the board. To protect the air, Putinville has launched several additional aircraft ranging from MIG-23's to MIG-29's.

UIN Security council meeting passed a resolution for "Peace between ROD and the Evil Empire", for all participating to back up and consider the long term consequences of the actions, consider the impact upon the families, the young, the old, the women and children.... and men too." UIN delegations going to visit the Evil Empire and ROD to see what can be done to foster peace.
.
2. UIN wishes to welcome Yer Bouti as a responsible member country if they can re-frame from terror, from murder, and conqueror of territory.

The ROD welcomes the dialogue concerning the current conflict in Mahishmati. Our representative to the U.I.N. is consulting with Parliament on the matter.

The UIN has resolved, after 11 days on continuous debate, a resolution. The issues that were discussed went on for hours, days on end. Topics were sent back to committee, in cases to sub-committee, then back to the committee then the Security Council. Discussed and debated, working hard to find a solution, then take action after moving forward, to research and discuss the pertinent issues, to address the concerns of the people. Finally, a resolution.
Therefore be it resolved, that the conflict between the parties that are fighting north of the Bay of Bengal, including forces of the Evil Empire, ROD, and Mahishmati are to quit fighting, are to pull back 5 km away from other forces, that full civil services are to be restored immediately. Medical staff are to help the citizens. The Citizens of Mahishmati are of the utmost concern for peace, prosperity, and life.

Upon hearing of the UIN resolution, the ROD field commander initially scoffed at the idea, but within minutes he received a phone all from the ROD Minister of Defense instructing him to cease offensive operations, but to maintain their current positions and defend themselves (to include Mahishmati allies) if necessary.

The ROD stands firm by the assertion that Mahishmati sovereignty was violated, and that the disputed border region is in fact Mahishmati territory. With this in mind, the ROD proposes the following solution:

1. All combat operations will immediately cease; on land, in the air, and at sea.

2. The disputed border region will be recognized by all parties as being part of the Kingdom of Mahishmati.

3. The disputed border region will be demilitarized. Armed forces from the Evil Empire will return to Imperial territory. Armed forces from Mahishmati and the ROD will remain in Mahishmati territory, but they will leave the formerly disputed area. Mahishmati gendarmerie will assume responsibility for security, law, and order in the area.

4. Armed forces from Mahishmati and the ROD may occupy positions adjacent to the formerly disputed area but will only enter the area in response to incursions by the Evil Empire.

This should satisfy the specifics of the UIN resolution and still maintain security in the area.

The ROD will deploy its own hospital ship to the Bay of Bengal to provide additional medical support to the civilian population of Mahishmati. It is scheduled to depart the ROD tonight, along with a supply ship carrying engineering and humanitarian supplies.

While the situation in Mahishmati remains tense, forces from the ROD, Mahishmati, and the Evil Empire have agreed to a temporary cease fire while the belligerents and the UIN discuss a permanent solution to the conflict.

Currently, the ROD hospital ship Asclepius, the support ship Bison, and the frigate Minotaur are steaming toward the Bay of Bengal to provide humanitarian support to the people of Mahishmati.

The Wolf interviews the General Secretary on the Wolf's Liar.
Wolf: "General Secretary, how do you feel about the UIN resolution for ROD, Mahihmati, and the Evil Empire?"
Secretary H. Rodriquez: " we feel very good about it, both sides are adhering to it, by in large not fighting or conflict. Forces from both sides have either backed up or held their areas. I most cases one side held the zone they were in and the other group backed up a few KMs. Only in a few cases are the opposing forces within a few hundred meters of each other. It has been reported that there have been a few trades of goods across the line, which is amazing. The UIN is delighted that the opposing forces have accepted the UIN resolution. So we are an integral element of the peace process."
Wolf: " How is it the the UIN resolution helped in this instance, but it has not worked in others? It has failed in Syria, In Iraq, Israel?"
Sec Rodriquez: "Beside the resolution, 1 it was specific to the peace and increasing the distance between the two groups of people, so it was easy for them to comply, and 2, the leadership for both sides value the civilians and want to minimize the death toll. The governments are active participants are actively pursuing peace following the UIN resolution. We at the UIN are proud that we are actively engaged in the peace process."
Wolf: "Will this conflict end peacefully very soon, perhaps within days or weeks without any further conflict?"
Sec Rodriquez: " Oh yea, we are confident that peace will return to these people, to the citizens, to the soldiers. The UIN is sending in some Peace Keepers in the Blue Helmets in their personal carriers, supplied mostly by the French, Brits and Russians. We are all about peace in the area."
Wolf" "Thank you General Scretary."
Rodriquez: "Thank you for allowing me to let you know how the UIN can help in the Peace process."

The ROD is quite pleased that the current cease-fire is holding in Mahishmati. While combat units remain in the area to ensure that the peace process takes hold, the character of the operation is transitioning from one of offensive combat operations to one of support for the people of Mahishmati as they recover from the violence and destruction of the recent conflict. Operation Dandelion is complete, and the ROD is now embarking on Operation Vulcan!

The hospital ship Asclepius and the support ship Bison have arrived off of the Mahishmati coast to provide humanitarian support, while Surface Battle Group 11, composed of a battleship and several destroyers, has returned home to the ROD.

Carrier Battle Group 8 continues to prowl the Bay of Bengal. It’s air wing, along with the aircraft from the ROD Air Force’s 1st Fighter Wing, patrol the area, careful not to stray into contested airspace. The 2nd Armored Brigade remains in tactical assembly areas along the contested border zone. The 25th Combat Support Hospital is providing media support to the civilian population now that military casualties have ceased to come into the facility.
