With the conflict between the ROD/ NC and EE forces spiraling out of control, the Government of Karmanaskis calls for a 24 hour ceasefire by all parties on humanitarian grounds. Karma proposes that all forces hold in place for the next 24 hours.
At the same time it invites the parties to talks in Nakiska, the Karma Capital.

The ROD is open to a ceasefire and discussions in Nakiska, provided the EE will honor the cease fire as well. ROD forces will hold their position and cease combat operations for 24 hours. All ROD commands, however, have standing orders to respond to any EE activity in violation of the ceasefire with overwhelming force.

An ROD delegation is currently on its way to Nakiska.

Karma, You do realize that the EE just used a WMD on the ROD troops in Georgia? That's a red line that the EE has now just crossed.

Yes, we have been following the conflict closely.

It has lumbered on for Months now and seems to be on the verge of a dangerous turn.
They have hit the ROD's home ports in the past. NC as a combatant is also at risk from the EE, who is to say that they would not strike at the homeland of NC? That is too close to Karma.

We encourage the EE and NC to hold in place for 24 hours. We are in talks with both EE and the ROD.
Karmanaskis still has no official diplomatic contact with NC but we are willing to fly up and meet at the border North of Ded Rear (Red Dear).

The EE almost did attack NCs coastline during this war, a Destroyer Flotilla was intercepted by the RCN Pacific fleet, fortunately we repelled them. NC, and the Feline Confederation, will send their delegations to Nakiska.

"NC, and the Feline Confederation, will send their delegations to Nakiska."

So you agree to a ceasefire and to hold forces for 24 hours?

Excellent, that is agreement from NC, POP and ROD.
Karmanaskis is in contact with the EE government and pushing hard for their participation.
If they agree, talks will continue overnight to initially extend the fragile ceasefire. At the same time talks will get underway to narrow the (large) differences to the point that we can get the the ROD and the EE in the same room.

The EE is also in agreement. An imperial delegation will be arriving in Nakiska very shortly. Military forces of the EE will hold their current position for the next 24 hours.

The peace talks have been fairly productive so far. The ROD and EE have come to an agreement concerning the Belarussian Front. Both parties are also in agreement that the cease fire should be extended through the weekend to allow talks to continue regarding the Turkish Front. There are still some big differences to work through, particularly where the disposition of the Bosporus is concerned.

So far, all military forces are holding their respective positions and adhering to the cease fire.

At the Poland /Belarus border, ROD forces are conducting much-needed maintenance on their vehicles. Here a maintenance team is preparing to pull pack on a tank from 2-13 Armor (2nd Armored Division).

In Georgia, scouts from 1-27 Cavalry (1st Mech Division) dismount from their Bradley CFV and conduct a local patrol.

In western Turkey, the guns are silent, but watching and waiting. Here an understrength howitzer platoon from 2-41 Field Artillery (3rd Mech Division) stands ready to fire if called upon to do so.

The talks are showing possible areas of mutual compromise in Poland/Belarus.
Also the Egypt, Libyia, and Djibouti question is making progress but will require more time and input from local neighboring
Counties etc.

Competing interests around Turkey remain a sticking point which may need the assistance of the full UIN.

Nakiska, Karmanaskis
With the ceasefire holding up a major achievement seems at hand and in such a short time.

The Delegates talked all night and into the early morning hours. There were some tense moments, and at one point an ROD diplomat through a spoon at the EE ambassador, but the ROD diplomat was quickly escorted from the room by other members of his delegation. A sticking point was the fact that the ROD had forces in Egypt, in close proximity to the Suez ** CENSORED ** (a critical waterway), yet the ROD was demanding that the EE surrender control of the Bosporus (a critical waterway). An agreement was hammered out between the two nations, but the POP still needs to review it.

The ROD and EE are in agreement on the following points:

All EE forces will leave Turkey, Belarus, and Djibouti within 10 days. Any permanent military installations in those countries will be turned over to the host nations. Diplomatic facilities may remain.
The EE will continue to occupy military installations in Libya. Military installations may be established in Georgia, with that nation’s consent.

All ROD forces will leave Turkey, Belarus, Egypt and Poland within 10 days. Any permanent military installations in those countries will be turned over to the host nations. Diplomatic facilities may remain.
The ROD will continue to occupy military installations in Germany.

All POP forces will leave Turkey within 10 days. Any permanent military installations in that country will be turned over to the host nation. Diplomatic facilities may remain.

The belligerents (EE, ROD, and POP) are free to pursue the establishment of military bases in other countries, except for Turkey, Belarus, Poland, Egypt, and Djibouti.

The belligerents (EE, ROD, and POP) will not occupy military installations or conduct military operations in Turkey or Egypt, nor will they undertake any military operations that will in any way impact the operation of the Bosporus or the Suez ** CENSORED **.
The Bosporus will be controlled by Turkey, and only Turkey.
The Suez ** CENSORED ** will be controlled by Egypt, and only Egypt.

It is hoped that this can be ratified at a later date by the heads of State of the belligerent Nations in a treaty, just like the JCPOA.
Then it will be watertight.

There is still much to be done but the Karma government would like to thank the different parties for their cooperation and trust.
Karmanaskis will also restore embassies with NC.

The ROD is very grateful to Karmanaskis for making these cease fire talks a reality. We now have an agreement that brings an end to the bloodshed in Turkey and Poland. The commander of JTF-M is pleased that an agreement has been reached, but he is not happy with the timeline that ROD diplomats agreed to. II Corps will have to move fast to ensure that all ROD forces are out of Turkey and Georgia in 10 days. Units will displace in an orderly, efficient, military manner to ensure that security is maintained throughout the movement and that traffic jams are avoided as much as possible. Wheeled vehicles will make the drive south while tracked vehicle will be line hauled. Turkish truck drivers with flatbed trailers stand to make a lot of money over the next 10 days!

C-130s from 9th Air Mobility Wing will be moving personnel and equipment from the airfield at Kars to LSA Anaconda and Baghdad International Airport. JTF-M Forward HQ is moving to LSA Anaconda to coordinate movement of ROD units.

ROD commanders have been capturing lessons learned over the course of the war, and these lessons will be shared over the next week or so on the ROD thread. These lessons will drive a number of reforms, and perhaps stimulate some discussion.
