The ROD Marine Tank Battalion concluded a challenging 21-day field problem this morning that included both gunnery training and force-on-force exercises. The event culminated with Tank Table VIII gunnery last night and then some time for maintenance and hot chow this morning before redeploying to garrison.

As always, the battalion found some time this morning to line their tanks up for a battalion photo.

[GM’s Note: you may notice that A Company’s tanks are a slightly lighter shade of green than the rest of the battalion. That’s because I painted A Company with my new favorite Tamiya NATO Green out of the bottle, but one of my character flaws is that I am impatient, so I got a spray can of Tamiya NATO Green for Companies B, C, and D. As is usually the case, the spray color is a little different from the bottle color, but not enough to make me want to repaint A Company. Apparently, attention to detail is not a character flaw of mine.]

Here are the A company CO tank (Aleister Crowley) and the B Company CO tank (Beatrice) next to each other for comparison.

Ok the ROD is will to give it another chance. First we'll send a crew in to inspect the buildings and see how much work will be required before we can occupy the buildings.

EXERCISE REFORGYPT continues today with most of the air-lifted armor arriving in western Egypt. ROD Air Force C-17s delivered C Company / 3rd Battalion / 2nd Armor to the Cairo West Air Base and they are being line hauled west to assembly areas in the desert. Once on the ground the tankers are working with units from 3rd Mech Division to patrol and conduct gunnery training.

The camo tank pictured here is from C/3-2 AR recently deployed from the ROD. The tan tank is from A/2-9 AR which is permanently stationed in Egypt.

Stryker infantry carriers from 1st Battalion / 20th Infantry (9th Infantry Brigade) move west into the Egyptian desert as EXERCISE REFORGYPT heads into its second week. Platoons from 2nd Battalion / 3rd Infantry (3rd Mech Division) are manning checkpoints to ensure that the deploying units maintain the deployment schedule and that civilian traffic does not interfere.

Once in the tactical assembly areas, the 3rd Mech units in tan work side-by-side with the deploying units in green from 9th Infantry Brigade, 15th Infantry Regiment (Airborne), 15th Artillery Brigade, and C/3-2 Armor to complete live fire and maneuver training cycles.

In Germany, ROD forces have been placed on alert and are preparing for deployment in response to the Eurasian Empire’s movements in Belarus. The Ministry of Defense has not released any details on the possible deployment, but anonymous sources are hinting that the situation may be tied directly to Poland’s request for assistance to deter Imperial aggression.

Way to the south of Germany, ROD forces in Egypt are continuing with EXERCISE REFORGYPT in western Egypt. The focus of the exercise has transitioned from force-on-force training to live-fire. Pictured here are Stryker MGS vehicles from 1st Battalion / 20th Infantry on the gunnery range with tanks from the 3rd Mech Division’s 3rd Battalion / 5th Armor.

Karma did have access to the site for about six hours more than NC but now it looks like the Webstarts site server is down.

Almost certain a message is being sent by the EE to the ROD.
We expect the CofC to loose Netflix soon :D

Update.
KDF Strategic Support Group has come up with a work around and the site is visible on the internet.
Some users within Canada for sure are getting a "503 Service Unavailable error" at the moment.
Prob Sec cert issue.
Mech try this

A big thanks to the KDF for sorting the problem out. My crack ROD team used all of their IT tricks: turn the computer off and then back on...talk nicely to the computer...talk angrily to the computer...throw the computer out the window. In the end it is quite possible that we just didn't pay the electricity bill or something.

The ROD troops in Germany have been giving the Deutsche Bahn a workout over the past 24 hours. 7th Armored Brigade “Iron Horse” has been moving tracked vehicles and some wheels by rail from Schweinfurt to an assembly area just north of Lublin in Poland. Some wheeled vehicles are driving the 500km, and most personnel are making the trip via chartered buses. It’s an 8-9 hour trip for most vehicles. The ROD’s single fighter squadron based in Germany, the 24th Fighter Squadron “Sentinels” is still operating from Rammstein Air Base.

Pictured here are vehicles at the Schweinfurt railhead: B Battery / 1st Battalion / 10th Field Artillery and elements of 1st Battalion / 19th Infantry.

I will be flying from the ROD to Poland to assume command of all ROD forces in that country. Pictured here is Wolfpack HQ in the dirt next to the tarmac at Vulture Field, preparing to load into C-17As for the flight to Poland.

There were some tense moments in western Egypt today as the REFORGYPT exercise continued into its final week. ROD units from 3rd Mech Division conducing live fire exercises near the Imperial Security Zone stumble into some Imperial troops from the 91st Motor Rifle Division. The ROD unit claimed to be in Egyptian territory while the imperial unit claimed to be inside the security zone. The standoff lasted for several hours and then both sides withdrew without any shots being fired.
