Impressive force, certainly the business end of the battalion with the M1A2, but the support elements. Great looking.
Thanks Chris. The staff nerd in me has to have all of the support vehicles....and call signs...and SOI....

Wonderful to see such a well supported unit. Nice one.
The best supported Balzac formation would be my P7 Regiment OMG(Operational Maneuver Group).
71 MotorBat. 3 coys wheeled IFV.
72 MekBat. 2 coys MBT, 2 coys tracked IFV
All have a very limited HQ and recovery/fitter element but nowhere near the support vehicles you field.
Time to move some trucks around I think.

Early this morning the Republic of Dalmatia detached 3 ships from an amphibious task force training in the western Mediterranean and sent them to the Caribbean to provide humanitarian assistance to those affected by Hurricane Matthew. Here the landing dock ship Ajax and the amphibious transport dock Protesilaus speed toward Nassau with food, medicine, heavy equipment, helicopters, and manpower. They are escorted by the frigate Harpy.

We were monitoring your progress through the western Med. as we monitor all shipping in the western Med. You may have seen our A-4 a few time fly-by at 4 n.m. and picked-up a training flight of F-111 from Sardania-dom to Tunisia-dom. I am sure the Brits at Gibraltar observed the fleet moving west.
.
We have a battalion training at Ft. Stockton, south of Jacksonville, FL. which is expecting the Hurrican in 5 hours (5pm EST) to pass the coast. NS Mayport has sortied many of their ships. The ships of the commonwealth sortied with them.

The ROD is doing very well! Our economy is quite healthy - so much so that we are acquiring additional transport aircraft and training a new parachute infantry regiment. We look forward to continuing partnership with other adventurous nations, and we are planning to host an International Jump Day in 2017!

Subject to operational commitments the BSDF would be happy to provide a tri service team along with a C130 as a jump ship for the ROD jump day.

Looking forward to the Fighter Rodeo in March if it is still in the budget. The BSDF would again commit to send a composite Squadron.

Balzac.

Parachute Jump

Post by chrisswim »

Redleg,
Good to read that ROD has a strong economy. Buying long range transport aircraft.
Have you posted pics of those? Need to have pics somewhere on line.
The Commonwealth would like to send a Jump Team, we will need to buy some
newer aircraft and some parachutes. We have a line of some parachutes from
the Germans that are in Italy currently, They were used once during the war...WW2.
I do not know why, but some of the guys that jump privately strongly protest this
purchase. They would not sign up for the parachute Rgmt.

ROD will most definitely be hosting another fighter rodeo this year, and we are very pleased to hear the interest in Jump Day! We will be providing additional details and pics very soon!

We are preparing our air forces for the upcoming events. Sadly, it's been a while since we've bombed anyone :(

[GM's Note: Just in case anyone cares...there is a new official map of the Republic of Dalmatia. A friend and fellow Californian is interested in micro armor and our imagi-nations, so we did the map together (I won't lie - I'm trying to gt him to invest in some micro armor so I'll have someone to battle with).]

Hawaii is south of us, which is very convenient for the Navy! Until recently the captain of an ROD Navy vessel had free reign to take his/her ship out on short training cruises as he/she saw fit. Unfortunately we got a complaint from the harbor master in Honolulu that our ships were taking up all of the dock space and our sailors were scaring away the tourists. We now require just enough paperwork to make these trips more trouble than they are worth.

Oh, so that is why our Time Share was always rented out, We could not get time there on the beach. Helped the local economy I am sure. The personal artist making money at the drinking hall is deteriorating, as is several other business ventures.

There is some desert warfare training going in this week in the ROD. The south-eastern desert is a very dangerous pace, full of hostile animals! Here are some pics of C Company, 7th Infantry Battalion going through platoon lanes.
