Those are great action shots, Karmanaskis!

I wonder what the ranking criteria for that list is? I've seen several other Top Tank lists, and they have many of the same tanks, but in different order depending on what grading criteria they used.

Redleg, I like your M60A3 in camouflage and the Abrams.

The rankings have to have some subjectivity, the criteria is somewhat subjective.
Also, is any evaluator been given access to evaluate the functionality, reliability, survivability, lethality, etc of these tanks? Those that have been in combat in large numbers provides insight, How much does crew training, maintenance, logistics and software affect it effectiveness?
But not a bad list in my opinion…for whatever that might be worth.

The Armata, are these still catching on fire in a parade? I have observed that brand new systems do not usually work very well at first: M16 rifle, Abrams, F-22, F-35, Panther Tank, etc.
Let’s see how they mature.

Chrisswim,

Based on a documentary I watched, a US tanker said that they could have faired better in a t-72 against iragi crews in M1s. Just because of training.
Quantity has a Quality all its own.

Yeah there is definitely a ton of different criteria you could use to compare and evaluate tanks (or anything for that matter). It's a great list whether you agree with the findings or not! Great way to stat a conversation on the topic or to collect data for your own ** CENSORED ** and evaluation!

What a great Friday for all of the tankers! This morning the final four companies went to the training area for three engagements. The competition was fierce, but in the end only one tank company can claim the title of King of the Hill! And that company is Karmanaskis B Squadron / Dragoon Regiment / Imber Brigade. Well done Karmanaskis!

In the afternoon all 130 tanks took to the field for the Feeding Frenzy event! Kill or be killed – every tank was fitted with MILES laser engagement system and they were programmed to shut the tank down after the third hit. There are some really very talented tank crews here and some of them put up epic fights to the very end. The RPNW crews were inspirational on the battlefield, but in the end it was Romaniadom that took the title. And immediately following the Feeding Frenzy, the crew of Romaniadom’s A Company Tank 22 (T72 TUSK) was presented with the Top Tank crew of 2021 trophy. Well done Romaniadom!

The crews can all celebrate tonight, but don’t get too crazy – tomorrow morning the regiments will report to their respective assembly areas at the Multi -Purpose Range Complex at 0700 hours for the final mission!

It’s Saturday, and that means time for the tank battle! All tanks report to their respective tactical assembly areas. Your objective for today is the town of Boobenhausen, located on the northern rim of a large depression known as the Valley of Tanker Sorrow. Boobenhausen is a MOUT training site that consists of 25 concrete buildings laid out like a typical middle eastern town.

The Dragoon Regiment is currently occupying TAA Coyote, 10 miles north-east of Boobenhausen in a wooded area.

The Hussar Regiment is currently occupying TAA Dingo, 10 miles west of Boobenhausen in relatively open ground to the west of a ridgeline.

Commanders have 2 hours to conduct troop leading procedures and issue company operations orders. All tanks, in both regiments, will cross the Line of Departure no later than 0900 local. Both regiments are after the same thing – a case of schnapps that is sitting on a desk in the Boobenhausen police station. Get that case of booze and get it back to your TAA to claim victory!

All tanks will be equipped with the MILES laser engagement system so that they can kill each other. Watch out for the quick sand! Oh and one other small detail…the 10 mile drive from the TAA to Boobenhausen will not be easy -there are armed helicopters prowling the area looking to kill tanks!

Let’s see some pics of your tanks in action!

Image B Sqn Colours are flying high today.
A well deserved win for what is arguably the premier KDF armoured unit.

The feeding Frenzy event! Well what can we say.... The two Company Commanders agreed to work together for Karmanaskis as one team.
Work as a pack and pick of everyone else one by one. This plan lasted about two minutes.
49 (Commander 4th Coy) took out 29 (Commander B Sqn) in a cheap rear end kill "that's for the honor of the Armoured Brigade and our stolen beer" was the last audible words over the radio. Sabaton Panzer Battalion was played loud on the net and the battle management data transfer turned off.
Revenge was quick and sweet as 4th Coy and B Sqn turned on each other, then between unit members.
Most KDF MBTs did not make it 1-2 Kms from the start point, mostly killed by KDF!
To Kill or be killed indeed but still considered a good training event as a no holds bared dirty melee, it all came down to saving you own neck and tank!
Most crews said they learnt more in ten minutes than the last two Months .

One or two did get away to play with the others in the dog park as it became known.
A resourceful crew had constructed their own camouflage hunting hide out of poles and painted hessian.

From ground level it was better than a hull down.

Then they waited like a duck hunter.

The tank battle has finally wrapped up and the victor is….no one! The battle swirled around the town of Boobenhausen for 2 hours, and then several companies dove in headfirst and slugged it out at close range, but no one was able to secure the schnapps. Don’t worry though, the schnapps will somehow find its way to the barbecue and concert this afternoon for those who would like to partake of it.

Several tanks were lost to prowling helicopters early, but the losses weren’t too heavy. The battle began to develop just outside of Boobenhausen, with the lead companies engaging at long range. Both sides maneuvered for advantage, but neither regiment was able to gain the upper hand. The Mahishmati company tried to swing wide to the north to outflank their opponents, but they encountered some rough terrain and then got hemmed in by the Romanians and destroyed. The ROD companies fared better, but Team Rhino went into the town and tried to use the buildings for cover, only to find Karmanaskis B Squadron waiting for them. Team Spearhead tried to sneak around through the depression but encountered soft sand and got bogged down.

Overall it was a great exercise and all of the crews learned some valuable lessons in cooperation and interoperability. Now it’s time to hit the wash rack and then stroll over to the barbecue and concert. The tankers will be striving to consume every drop of Avatar beer while the cooks work furiously to grill various meats and prepare the side dishes. Up on stage the rock band Tongue Box will kick things off. They will be followed by rapper Big Phattie and country singer Lonesome Joe.

The Mahismati tanks are cornered in rough terrain and picked off one by one by the Romaniadom tankers.

The race was on! Crossing open terrain as quick as possible watching out for prowling helicopter gunships and long range T-72 missile shots.

A fitting end to a very rewarding week. This may well become the armoured event of the year!
OK everyone is made safe, cleaned up, and stowed. Time to crack a well earned "cold one", well done the ROD.

Congratulations to ROD, all those that help host Tankers’ Ball.
It has been a great success. Just be careful with the MPs at 3-4-5-6-7-8 in the morning.
They might not be in a good mood.

The KDF would like to thank the ROD for hosting this 1st class armoured event, it has gained a considerable following back in Karmanaskis. The Tank Biathlon especially was given prime time coverage and the win by the KDF Dragoon Battalion of the Imber Brigade as best Tank Company, interest can only grow.
All KDF personnel and equipment are now loaded on the KNS Fearsome LPD in port.
They are due to depart early Monday morning for Karma. Rumor has it the return escort group awaiting off shore will include the Karma Navy's newest ships.
Photos tomorrow maybe, if the weather holds.

Tankers' Ball departure.
Quick continental breakfast, some pictures with new found professional friends. FB page for Tankers' Ball participants to share pics the JAG of each nation will let people in to view and/or share pictures. Already had to bring someone in for discussion after pictures posted Saturday evening.
Various CoC ships departing after Karmanaskis ships leave, they seemed to be in a hurry. There where still a few vehicles to be loaded on the RoRos. The entire task force including all 4 RoRos heading to the Panama Waterway.
. After the ships left port, 2 men from Romaniadom had to be flown out to a LHD Nike. The Captain of the ship is thinking of ordering dragging them under the ship from one side to the other by rope or just dragging them behind long enough to extend the line to 100 meters and pull it back in. The NCO board will determine if that is acceptable. Since these were two of the crew that won, there was discussion to allow a surfboard or windsurfer board.

Chris, that's called "keel-hauling." Old version of waterboarding. Likely fatal. Not only is the individual underwater for an extended period, his skin is scraped and stripped by the barnacles clingung to the hull. Such brutality is expected from doms under your unscrupulous rule. It does no good to appeal for remedy to your puppet UIN.

The ROD is happy to have had so many nations in attendance at the Tanker's Ball. Based on the initial feedback, it sounds like this will become an annual event! We wish everyone safe travels as they depart.

Still on track for quarterly events this year. Get ready - September will be Grunt Week!
