The Republic of Damatia (ROD) is an island nation located in the southern Indian Ocean. The island was first colonized by the British in the early 17th century as a leper colony and has subsequently been conquered and re-conquered by virtually every colonial power on the planet up until it gained its independence in the early 20th century. After serving as a leper colony, Dalmatia was a prison, sweat shop, naval gunnery range, pesticide research center, and scrap yard.

The Dalmatian people are pretty simple folk, and they tend to like dogs more than they like other people. In fact, as a group the Dalmatians have embraced the four pillars of dog society: eating, sleeping, pooping, and humping as their own personal priorities.

The ROD uses US equipment exclusively, but it is a mix of modern and cold war era gear. Most vehicles and uniforms are straight OD green and aircraft is light gray. The Army is organized on 2001 US tables and the air force operates in squadrons of 18 combat aircraft. Their navy consists of 2 carrier battle groups, each with a battleship because while missiles are cool, we would much rather watch some 16 inch guns banging away at another ship or a coastline. (I gotta find some 1/285 scale rail guns).

The Republic of Dalmatia just released some impressive pictures of it's main naval base at Saint Catherine's Bay. Normally there aren't this many chips in port at an given time, but the entire fleet was required to come in for mandatory annual equal opportunity and ** CENSORED ** harassment prevention training.

After the training a free concert is going to be put on for the sailors by the popular rock band Smegma Bomb, and then back out to sea. Ships in port are from Carrier Battle Group 5, Submarine Force North, Marine Amphibious Force, and Nuclear Cruiser Force A.

I'm not sure why they don't work for you. Do you have "Disable HTML in this post" checked off? The pictures need to be resized though.

Can you share the code you used to display the images?

I just copied and pasted the strings from redleg's post. But... There are check boxes under the text box where you enter your post. The check boxes control things like HTML, BBCode, Smilies etc. If they are checked it is one possible thing preventing pictures from appearing. If they're not checked then I'm out of ideas for why it doesn't work. To check your posts, just click on the "edit" button then look directly under the text box and you should see a set of five check box options. Review/reset as appropriate.

For those who were wondering, the Republic of Dalmatia is doing very well at the 2016 Summer Olympics. We won gold in both the beer pong and beach police call events, and our monkey-bar team as been performing very well in the early stages of competition.

This success hopefully will make up for our Olympians missing the opening ceremony. We had every intention of attending, but the opening show took so long that everyone fell asleep by the time the parade of nations finally took place. Perhaps next time.

To the Republic of Dalmatia,
Prime Minister RedLeif,
Hope you are doing well after the Olympics, The Commonwealth was impressed with your beach police and beer pong teams.
Are you deploying those VABs or training with them. Post some pics. What is the Republic working on?

Thank you Prime Minister RedLeif, the people of the Republic of Dalmatia thank you for your support and friendship. All of our athletes have returned from the summer Olympics and are back to work at Home Depot. All except for our volleyball team captain who was hospitalized after a samba accident. And one of our boxers who missed the pane and is still missing.

Our premier armored unit, the 5th Tank Battalion recently finished an international gunnery exercise with the Kingdom of Mouseville at the historic Rainbow Castle. They have recently returned to their home station for equipment upgrades and a fresh coat of paint. We will be happy to post some pics of the entire battalion wen it rolls out for its annual photo-op later this month!

The Ministry of Defense is pleased to announce that the 5th Tank Battalion has now officially completed it's upgrade to M1A2 tanks, making it the most advanced ground combat unit in the Republic of Dalmatia. The ROD will need to purchase a lot more support vehicles to get other battalions to a similar state of readiness.

Releg,
Impressive force, certainly the business end of the battalion with the M1A2, but the support elements. Great looking.
