Sorry, but we are not ready to get rid of our F-14s yet. We are keeping several squadrons in reserve and we still do have one active F-14C squadron - VF-47 Hell Hounds are assigned to 2nd Fleet.

If ROD does decide to down size their inventory of F-14, the Balzac Republic might interested. Avatar Beer in trade. But that is for another year or more down the road.

The RCNs offer is still open to have the F-14s, as we need our strike aircraft back up to operational status, most are badly needed of replacement parts.

ROD Navy Task Forces in the Atlantic
This picture was taken 4 days ago by Commonwealth P-3 flying to Ft Randolph, Panama, while coming across two Task Force Carrier Groups of ROD southeast of Gitmo, Cuba.

Our P-3 was escorted until we were 70 NMs away from the combined ROD fleet.

The ROD Navy was conducting an exercise to see how much firepower we could assemble without being detected. When the CoC is around the answer is "not much"! Shortly after this photo was taken the ships dispersed for greater survivability. Out hats off to the P-3 pilot - even though the ships are big, it's a big ocean and you were able to locate us!

The CoC has welcomed the ROD 2nd MEU and task force to Monacodom. After complete evaluation of the crew for COVID, Marines and sailors are able to participate in shore leave.
Started migrating out Sat afternoon. The bars down by the docks were full.
Today starting at 11 hundred, a parade took place with the ROD Marines marching along with some AMTRACs, Hummvs, trucks, command vehicles and a few tanks being hauled around. The Monacodom Army units participated along with CoC units, several high school and middle school bands. Civitans, Elks Lodge, Rotary Club had floats. Prince Chris the 5th and Prince Chris the 6th were also in the parade. The Avatar Beer had a few wheeled Kegs dispensing their product here and there along the route. The Swedish Bikini Team Alumni received the warmest and most enthusiastic crowd response.
After the parade, lunch in Ft Monaco, the army base just northwest of Monaco City. Presentation of Desert Combat took place, the animals that can inflict pain and/or death on a person took place along with First Aid, Navigation, Communication. These classes will all take place Tuesday or Wednesday depending upon the unit. Sight seeing for the Opposite Day for units. Thursday and Friday will be some Opp-Joint Combat training. Saturday the ROD Marines and Task Force is set to sail to Tunisadom for an opposed assault landing.
Discussions will continue to meet the needs of ROD forces.
Rumor is that some of the calls for ‘your auto warranty’ expiring take place from Tunisadom and Lybia. Many ROD Marines have said they will beat the “‘stew’” out of those callers. We shall see if anyone enters to kick rocks.

What a fantastic welcome from the CoC and Monacodom! This is turning out to be a very productive float - training with great allies and responding to real world crises! We will try to get some pics of the training to post. And always a great event when the Avatar beer is flowing!

Indonesia & Malaysia
CoC army artillery forces set up firing positions as the ROD Carrier Battle Group 11 sailed by in the Strait of Malacca. The firing began with the width of the strait at 3 miles narrowing to 1.7 miles. Minimum average depth is 25meters, 82 feet. At the narrowest point 120mm mortars were firing HE onto the decks of the carrier by visual sighting from the fire pits on the beach. ROD observers were mix among the fire teams.
Then the CWIS opened up to hit many of the incoming mortar rounds. The 5-inch guns opened fire on the artillery batteries. Aircraft the were aloft conducted their attack runs, some bombing, many only using their 20mm. The real air cover did not engage.
It was glorious training for both groups to learn for in a different setting.
As the ships were sailing along a few miles further south ‘war canoes’ were carrying Indonesian locals waving at the crews on the ships.
As this task force gets closer to the Philippines or CHI (southeastern China) more training will take place.

Mediterranean Sea
Northwest of the Suez Waterway, the ROD 2nd SHAM heads west.

Commonwealth SSN begin the targeting of the assault battle group.
See the subs....

Image

The 2nd SHAM detects ‘enemy’ submarines, ... “Capt... sonar reports fish in the water. The DDG Capt. Janice Smith ordered to located the sub.... The reply, “which one Capt. there are over a dozen torpedoes coming after or task force ma’am.” Capt. Smith ordered Fire Control- targeting, plot and fire two Asrocs on the closest sub, then 2 others on the next SSN. Launch helos ASAP (maintain all safety protocols).

Image

Image

Capt. 3 dozen anti-ship missiles launched coming our way, submarines 10-15 nautical miles. Oh sh/t captain, guided cruise missile launch from a sub, 18 NM range. It appears all coming our way.

LHD: all 8 ASW helicopters launched from the escorts. 2 SH-60 have dropped Mk -46. 2 more dropped Mk-46, C4I indicate, cruiser is hit with 2 torpedoes and Harpoon, ... she’s ... gone. DDG Is hit, ... torpedo missed Mt Rockmont it’s targeting us, 10-12 seconds to impact. Destroyers are taking out missiles, some sinking noises of subs. The LPH is hi.......
ALARMs sounding..... hit by 6 Harpoons.

After this engagement the subs surface .... come into the ROD task force. Half the CIC. from each sub and half the COs and half the XOs of the subs will be picked up by LCS or Hercules Patrol craft carried to the LHD for bar-b-q then preliminary debrief of the engagement. Many were surprised that they are ‘dead’
